Trevor Moore Clipping. Suspension incoming?

Very dangerous play here by Moore. See the angle at the end where it shows Moore clipping Vinny right at the knee causing Vinny’s leg to bend. He also takes multiple strides from distance to get himself in perfect position to take out Vinny’s knee. Zero attempt to make the hit in any other way except for the most dangerous and dirty option.

Clipping at the knee level has been suspended before in the playoffs. Specifically Josh Archibald got one game for this clipping on another giant defenceman in Logan Stanley:

Yeh I think so. Cause he’s not Josh Archibald playing for the Oilers. And the NHL is clown show League.

Dirty play that should get a game, especially since it was a retaliation for Desharnais blowing up Doughty with a clean hit moments before that, but the league suspends for the result not the intent. Not a big deal. If Moore keeps doing shit like this he'll get his. LA is one of the softest teams in the league outside of their cheap shots. Don't even think they have a single player who could beat Nuge in a fight.

Considering there’s an exact play like that, that resulted in a 1 game suspension in the playoffs.

Should easily be a 1 game suspension

The only break I'll give Moore here is that I don't believe he has a history whereas Archibald would have. However, the fact they aren't even fining him, thus building history should he do it again, is a little suspect.

It is a 7 game series and they arent going to jeopardize a win and further suspensions/dirty play in that situation. It is going to be in the minds of every Oiler every time they get a chance to play him hard the rest of the series.

Don't know that it changes much how they play. They were already laying the body on anyone at any given chance
