Ok, so what do you want to see Green do to address the PP, PK and Sanderson scoring in between games? Like, what change were you hoping to hear about that would resolve those issues? Because if you are complaining that scratching Hamonic isn't moving the needle, I'm sure you have some great ideas on what would that he could put in place right now, right?
resign?

Literally the only goood things I heard about this guy were that he focuses a lot on conditioning and making sure players are fit for camp.

So far we’ve been dummied by every back-to-back team we’ve played and were tired in San Jose because of a “long flight”. What exactly is this guy good at?

Well we’re past US Thanksgiving, and again, sitting well out of a Playoff spot….. better luck next year….

He is just not good enough to be coach for a team who want to go to the PO. NJ and Canucks fans could have tell that to Staios (and his results with their teams). Why GM in Ottawa think they are smarter than everyone else? Take for once a good coach and pay him!

This year, the offense is sad to see, if at least the D was great i would be ok with that but it's not. With DJ D was really bad but at least i could enjoy some O. This year it's just depressing.

Another year lost.

Everyone, go look on the main board to see what other organizations fans think of green.

Surely we sens fans must be exaggerating how bad he is.

Other fans must have been able to see some of the positive of green right??

Let's have a look-see.

Looks like I was right.

Zero accountability. His post game remarks were he didn't like the first 10 but thought the team played hard enough to earn a point the rest of the game. If that's what's acceptable from the coach, how the f***nis this team ever going to improve? BTW, Tkachuk's comments mirrored Green's for the most part - oh well, played hard, mistakes happen, shake it off - just more bullshit from the captain.

Yep, learning the wrong lessons, again. More excuses, again. More "we should have earned a point", again.

If you played hard enough to earn a point, you would have earned a f***ing point.

Accountability. It's a nebulous concept for this iteration of the Senators.

So, it is coming up to the one year anniversary of the Firing of DJ Smith….. in about a couple of weeks.

The rookie GM decided to go the route of calling in a Substitute Teacher, and wait (throw away?) the rest of the season,,and preach patience to the fan base…. And hire their Guy (best in class?) in the off-season…….Instead of bringing in a new Head Coach in Mid December last year, and give him a head start on moulding this team then, instead of what were seeing transpiring now. The Canucks and Oilers hired their new Head coach in Mid Season, and did NOT throw in the towel like SS last December……

He’s cleaned up team defence. But his bad decisions are undermining the good he’s done and it looks like he refuses to get out of his own way.

I don’t see that at all, I think Travis has been very critical of his team recently but I think there are a few realties that any NHL coach would struggle with:.

A well coached Travis Green team is relentless like what we have seen in small spurts with this team this year, hard to be relentless when your team is slow. Relentless is being on top of people, every line has a slow player and the lack of speed allows the opposition to remain comfortable in their system and you see opposition rookies, backups, depth players always play well versus Ottawa because it’s a comfortable game. Brady Tkachuk might beat someone’s face in and you’ll get hit a few times, but overall Ottawa isn’t stressing teams.

Leadership within the room is obviously an issue. To start they had versus L.A. After coming off the most embarrassing effort in maybe Sens history versus SJ is unforgivable. It’s piss poor, it’s embarrassing, it can’t be tolerated. Need to start changing letters around.

I feel in hindsight that Carolina game was the must win game of the season. That Philly game was a tough pill to swallow for the players I’m sure and they needed a result quickly to show that their efforts would be rewarded. Instead they got a very emotional game with horrendous officiating and a loss. And they’ve looked so demoralized ever since.

Team offense is middle of the pack while team defence is top 10. Was closer to top 5 before this not so great stretch.

Our players legit have finished like garbage. Not sure how the coach can fix that
Only 1 line working but yeah as they say it's surely bad luck.

They played better offense last year, for me it's the coach. This year they don't even have the injury excuses, the only one missing is Zub and he is not really a offense juggernaut.

What i read about Green from NJ and Canucks fans tends to confirm that.

The players have shown an inability to play good offense and defense at the same time for years. When you aren't good enough to play both, you can do one by sacrificing the other.

It's the players. They have been the same under 3 coaches now. Can't play hard all the time. They do for a stretch, then drop off and go back to playing as individuals. No way you can let them off the hook again by blaming the coach.

They’ve played good defence and fine offence. It hasn’t been a total sacrifice.
Playing hard all the time… aaahh it’s a hard league how many teams play hard all the time and how do you quantify that?

When shit isn’t going well you have to rely on 3 things.
Goaltending.
Your stars.

Many teams do this and win because a combination of these three things. Season is loooooong. You need to get bailed out by one of these two or both

Also need depth. I don't expect them to play 110% every game. Their B game is just not good enough though. And unfortunately they only have 1 star. Hard to expect Stu to win as many games as they will need to make a playoff push.

It doesn't seem like they are far from figuring it out. Whenever they get close though, they find a creative new way to take a step back.

I believe those creative new ways are in fact lack of creativity.
Yeah the depth has truly zero talent. Like just watching everyone in the bottom six fumble the puck around. But that’s what a lot of this board wanted. Cup experience. We have enough skill need more meat and potatoes guys…. Staios took that waaaay too seriously
