I think Kb is right, Robertson has earned a look on a line with Nylander, like Malgin had, to see if it works. Lots to decide on those two. 3 preseason games left, however with the back to back next weekend, one of those lineups will be mainly Marlies I think.

Engvall is a player I have marked down for a breakout season

I sure hope he breaks out for the post-season.
17 career GP, 4 pts. 3 of them in one game (at least that game was last year). I get that most of those games he didn't see a lot of ice time but the last thing the Leafs need in their top 9 is a guy who doesn't produce when the playoffs start.

I know but looking at our expected roster tomorrow I don't see any sure AHL players dressed it's all legit fringe players at worst. So why is Joey Anderson for example still around until Tuesday? Just asking as I see other teams making cuts

honestly they'll probably keep a full extra team here for that last preseason game.

anyways, we already know who 99% of the cuts will be.

Yeah. That’s actually smart as it then nullifies one of the two back to backs (close of the preseason, start of the regular season)

Here is hoping. That’d be a nice development. Call me skeptical though. He said the same thing the first day of camp and was suddenly out with back discomfort less than 24 hours later

I was impressed with what Max Ellis showed. Might be a piece down the road. Was hoping to see more out of Douglas.

Douglas isn't ready, and many who have watched him, knew in advance that would be the case. He's still got a bunch to work on, and hopefully does this year. Perhaps he has a shot next year, which I think is a best case scenario. What he can potentially bring to the table, would be a wonderful addition though.

Ellis had a good camp, but he isn't ahead of the guys remaining. Maybe in time.
