Would love to see a line of Lafreniere - Chytil - Gauthier click and develop into something special for us. Would be a nice story for this point in the rebuild. On paper that's a really nice blend of not only skill, but complimentary skill. Not to mention some serious size and speed.

There are worse third pairings in the league, but you hope a rookie grabs Johnson’s spot sooner than later.

Laf is a guy who can make people better. The other two guys on that line would be well benefitted by that at this point in their careers. Get them all clicking and we’re in business.

That we are starting him with Trouba is the most exciting thing out of training camp for me so far.

I’m a bit surprised they went with ADA - Trouba to start - I was expecting the above pairs from your post leaving ADA as RD to start. There are pros and cons to both scenarios but having ADA in top-4 - you know these two pairs will be over 20 min each.

Yeah Laf should be a guy like Panarin who drives the line as a winger which could benefit someone like Chytil a lot. Up to Gauthier to step up

Wouldn’t be surprised if all three were able to step up, especially since their backs are protected with our current top-6 forwards.

Im not a fan either unless Trouba abandons his offensive wants and focuses on being the shut down guy. Im hopeful it works, it would certainly solve some depth issues.

Supposed to work the other way around with ADA as his partner, and I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Tony will get eaten alive against the top lines unless the plan is to have Lindgren and Fox match up against the top lines

There isn’t really any good alternatives but god our left side sucks ass
