If the Isles decide that they want to ice their 4th line more often because Lafreniere is planting their players on the ice I welcome it.

We'll win by 5.

It's like people forget that the Isles were a sub .500 team for most of last season. Where was that 4th line then?

Yup. People forget they finished 1 point ahead of us and were in serious danger of missing the playoffs as they were playing like ass late in the year. They took advantage of the 4 month layoff and made a run in the Covid cup playoffs.

good for us. Maybe they would have landed Laf. They were sinking fast.

Yeah had the season finished we would have jumped them.

Thankfully it didn't.

What you seem to be forgetting is that their "team D" is miles ahead of what DQ is teaching here

Ross Johnston is just one of those goons who fights other goons. Lafreniere won’t even be on the ice with him. I’d worry more about Pageau, who is a f***ing weasel, and might actually be on the ice at the same time as Lafreniere.
laf would crush that little punk

19 years, 93 days and an undetermined number of hours and minutes to this point.

Can we get confirmation on the hours and minutes?

ATTENTION: CAN WE GET A PRICE CHECK ON ONE PHENOM?!?!?

CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THE HOURS AND MINUTES THAT LAFRENIERE HAS BEEN ON THE PLANET??!?!?!?!

(And while you're at, someone go check on Libor Hajek and get him an ash tray, because he just got smoked.)

Alright, I'm done fooling around and goofing-off. Back to my never-ending Zoom meeting.
You here all week?

Nope, at least not with the caveat that we could end up having two really good units with Fox maybe ending up on the hotter one every now and then, but that would have to mean that a super charged top unit face some adversity and DQ split things up a bit.

Even so, a unit around a high umbrella trio of Laf-Fox-Kakko and say Chytil and Strome in the middle/behind the net could be pretty sick in itself if they gel.

Who is going to be forced to go with him lol. He plays like 3 minutes a game anyway.

People seem to associate boring grindy hockey with toughness. The only really
Tough team in the division is Washington.

Let's be honest please. You're right Johnson gets very limited ice time. OTOH he is a tactical piece for Barry Trotz who is not a f***ing idiot. The Rangers do not have a player who physically matches up with that guy and Trotz knows it and used in the right way he can have a positive effect to an outcome.

I mean, he’d get his ass kicked, but I don’t think Lemieux would object. He’s a masochist.

Excited to see what Miller does

Although I hope he picks a new number cause 79 stinks
I disagree. I like players who have numbers no one else has. it creates a true sense of individuality. its why I’m not a fan of Laf’s picking 13 and Kakko’s changing from 45 to 24. When you see 99, you think Gretzky. When you see 68, you think Jagr. When you see 87, you think Crosby. It gives life to a number that otherwise would be ignored, and in a way, that singular player “owns” that number. There have been a ton of 13s that have been memorable in the league. How many truly great 79s have there been? If Miller is to become ome of the great D-men in this league, I’d rather he do it with his own number. When someone sees 79, the first name that pops in his head should be Mantis Miller. That’s my opinion at least. If Laf becomes a truly special player, people will think Datsyuk just as much as they think Laf when they see 13 and I don’t like that.

I don't even think its a given that he'd get killed.

Most fights end up pretty evenly matched. Guys who know what they're doing don't get their clocks cleaned too often.

Ross Johnston is a terrible hockey player though.
