Christ Mika did have Covid and had symptoms for sure
Hopefully will be ok. even with flu it takes a week or two for body to get back to working optimally when being pushed. And we are talking about the average guy not a professional athlete pushing their bodies hard physically.

Players like like Freddie Freeman and Myles Garrett who each had it, said it kicked their asses.

I don't think he was sick when he landed.

The vid would explain why he showed up later than the other guys. The long term side effects really vary from person to person so hopefully there is nothing long term here and he can get back to normal and start playing soon.

No doubt it can be. I am hopeful just like the best player in the world who had it Zibby will be ok once he gives his body some more time to recover.

He's gotten very little chance so far to show if he's capable. Maybe some of that is his fault, maybe it just hasn't worked out as his time yet. Regardless, he should get a chance to start showing whether or not he can hack it rather than being stuck getting 4th line minutes.

Very true. There could be a "utility middle-six wing with size and a scoring touch" in there, and not necessarily a small chance of that. Which would be fantastic for everybody.

I'm obviously not in the "He's Wolski 2.0, trade him" camp. I'm just not gonna look into trading Buch until "after" Gauthier takes those steps forward. I would love if we kept our right side Buch, KK, Kravtsov, Gauthier by late this season through the end of next season, though. Even if he still struggles a little bit to progress.

when did he land? I mean if he had it anywhere towards late December I hope he's had enough time to rest? I am sure he has seen a ton of doctors that ok'd his return

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but one guy who I haven't heard much about in camp until recently is Gauthier. He apparently made a great effort play to spring Laf on the highlight goal we saw.

Seeing him and Laf building a bond. Both French speaking, now line mates. Chytil says he needs a translator because they chirp French on the ice during play. Here they are getting some extra time in after practice.

If there ever was an opportunity for Julien... here is it. He's got the size and speed to force the issue on the forecheck and do the dirty work on the walls... but hell, the other two on that line do too.

We all like the kids skill set and frame. If the Rangers have Gauthier take off --- look out.

So that did change. I guess I can share now that he did take about 2-3 tests and hadn't tested positive in them.

That's scary shit and shows you how crazy all of this is.

My fiance had a fever and symptoms for 10 days (3x negative test) before finally losing taste/smell and testing positive. She was ok for the most part but probably took 6-8 weeks for her to feel fully 100%.

Can't underestimate the power of these two clicking. It'll give us three dangerous lines and really makes DQ's job easier in trying to find the right top 9 combos.

A friend at work said she was bedridden for 6 days, did not leave the room, and now still is recovering her taste/smell.

Yeah my lady and all of her roommates got it in March and the severity of their symptoms were all different.

She had a slight fever but a pretty heavy cough that lingered for a bit. 2 of her roommates had really mild (or no) symptoms and the other one had to be hospitalized and was on a ventilator (she recovered, but shes still feeling effects.)

The inflammation that some people experience is the scariest thing, especially for an athlete.
