I’m open minded, but that Left Defense really frightens me, especially playing in a division with so much offensive talent.
Or Led ZeppelinCould at least listen to rap or something.
Yeah. I know there wasn’t much hope to upgrade the position knowing their cap situation. Hopefully one of the kids step up or they can find a way to make a move for one. I know they’re pretty high on Miller and Reunanen. It is definitely bad, the team knows it's bad, there wasn't a lot of great ways to improve it this year. I think they've accepted that it's an issue that needs to be addressed going forward but there weren't any easy answer this past offseason
IN MOST CASES I'd agree 100%.
But he played the left side a ton as an amateur so there is a certain level of comfort with it, he's done it at the NHL level with success in a small sample size, but to this point there is more evidence of it working than the contrary.
Theres nothing wrong with giving it a longer look and this should have honestly happened sooner.
I'd rather he play it with Fox while pairing Lindgren and Trouba together, but they may f*** around with that in the coming days
Rangers posted video of LAF doing the same standing jump exercise that they showed Kreider doing...
All I have to say is that Kreider is a beast.

They should blast Bayside.
I could be wrong, but didn't he only play LD with Fox on his right when the team was losing? I'm not saying he can't, I hope he can, but I do have concerns about him going against the other teams top lines all season long, when they're aren't throwing caution to the wind and looking to tie the game up. Two completely different scenarios.
Most of their time together DID come when the team was trailing.
However, If anything, more mistakes are prone to happening when you're trying to tie a game up so I don't know that this is a valid argument to make against it. Regardless, if it works it works, if it doesn't they'll dice it. There is no reason for them to NOT give this a legitimate look.
I'm extremely dubious it'll work, but this is exactly the right take. Most of their time together DID come when the team was trailing.

like that WOP track
They should blast Bayside.
You might be right, but man......he will be TAXED trying to cover for our big $$$ dman. I am sorry, but he gets BEAT way too often for my liking. k'Andre will be testing his legs and speed and at some point we may be saying "who is the rookie here"? THAT my friends will be a good thing in the looooong run.Miller’s got a spot to lose. Been saying that for months now but it’s very clear to me that Johnson was brought in to replace Staal and smith is here to step in if Miller is in way over his head but imo he’s going to be next to Trouba to start.
I so LOVE this Rangers potential for some serious offense. Still seems we still have a pass 1st team, but hey.....I digress.Panarin Strome Kakko
Lafreniere Zibanejad Gauthier
Kreider Chytil Buchnevich
kinda like it. Speed, playmaking, and two way responsibility on all three lines. Only missing is a real dedicated shooter on line one.
Meaner...Lol!
This is the perfect situation for miller. It’s a shortened season, no one expects this team to do much. There are a lot of question marks on the left side, he has the size and talent to take a spot with no one blocking him, I could go on and on. There is no better time for miller to show that he can play with trouba then this camp where he is most unimpeded. No Robertson, or big FA or trade target expected to take the spot. He just has to play a smart mobile game and make good decisions and I think he and Trouba would make an excellent pair just like morrissey and trouba in the PegI think that’s the plan with Miller. If he has even a decent camp he makes the team and you see what he’s got at this level.
If it’s obvious it isn’t time he goes to the AHL when they start. Otherwise he’s just hanging around and just practicing. If he starts rolling then continue to send him out there.
Hes a big part of the future and he needs games to continue to develop. I too think he needs AHL seasoning first but I don’t think it will hurt him to start out with the big club before the A starts rolling (hopefully).
He would’ve have gotten several preseason games up with the big club anyway but this year you don’t have that luxury.
You can read between the lines he has a spot to start off unless he completely shits the bed.
