You'd have to think Calgary will listen to offers this season on both Andersson and Weegar.

This is most likely not a playoff team the next few seasons, so don't really understand the point of keeping these two while their value starts to diminish.

Seems Weeger might be their veteran pillar they keep to help lead the D.

Andersson might be available as he might look elsewhere.

Niemela was by far our best D in the prospects tournament. Surprised to not see him in the lineup yet.

I don’t think we ever see him both a Lilly in the lineup at the same time in the future. Wouldn’t be surprised to see one of them moved, and I’d assume Lilly has more value.

Lilly's got two years on his deal. Unless he catapults himself into "stud" category I could imagine the Leafs let him walk and let Niemela take his place if he isn't traded before then.

“Stud” might be too strong a word. “Legit and consistent Top 4 defenseman.” Better?

I think Niemela is intriguing but doesn't strike me much as a Tre type player

Leafs have a quantity of NHL players, be nice to move a couple for more quality if possible. I’d hate losing a talent like Robertson et al for nothing……….

I didn't say whether he should or shouldn't make the team. I said "IF" he can't make it...

Having said that, I don't like him, and I don't think he should make it. Craig Berube, however, isn't asking for my opinion. If he doesn't make it again, for a new coach, when we need exactly what he's supposed to provide.... well, I guess that apparently doesn't mean anything....
