I refuse to believe it. This is just pure non sense click bait that makes no sense. This team talks about adding a center since training, and a defender, mostly trying to find a fit with their limited cap space and limited valuable assets to trade... and Kypreos comes in with the Rantanen non sense.



It makes SOME sense but the price seems really tough to swallow. He'd be a pretty solid upgrade somewhere and isn't a rental. He checks boxes. He's not sexy or amazing.

I've only watched like 6 flyers games this season, but man was this guy invisible.

Final thoughts,

For the price difference between Savard and Dvorak vs the Schenn brothers...how much less impact would there be, if any? The assets going out the door would be significantly less.

I read the Habs were hopeful for a 2nd for Savard and there is basically zero interest in Dvorak.

So what are we talking here our 2nd and Benoit/Timmins for 50% retained Dvorak and Savard?

He's versatile, he kills a lot of penalties. He's 2nd on the Flyers in hits and would be 3rd on the Leafs. On pace for 40 ish points. He hasn't played a playoff game in awhile but last time the Flyers were in he had 5 goals in 15 games. All that for a 3M cap hit.

I don't really disagree but he fits what they are looking for at an affordable cap hit.

The reported prices on these guys are not the price a depth player would cost

If you're paying a 1st+ a decent prospect for Schenn, just keep the assets.
