If our main objective of getting players is because they hit, we may as well have stuck with the Nonis era. Sure the team was bad but they hit and thats the important thing.
I say this as someone who wouldn't mind getting Crouse

Well he did score 20 goals and he can hit. I like how you always take one part out

On top of that, Nonis Era it didn't work because we didn't have 60 goal scores and 3 of the top 6 highest player in the league

That didn't have depth.

Because you know with only goal scores and fruitcakes we have done so much better than Nonis Era in playoffs

That team lost to Stanley cup finalist being down 3-1 against Boston. Showed more heart and fight.

If Reimer didn't forget to make a save, that team would have done more damage

But we let's pick on Dave Nonis. Because picking on other gms makes Dubas looks so good

I think he'd do well but I dunno oh there is actually a power forwards that I'd go for. Prolly Evander Kane but there is a lot of shit that entails with it.

I don't think Douglas has shown enough yet to make the team out of camp but if his skating has improved over the summer, it's possible.

He is massive and would bring an element this team needs. Skating needs to have gotten better though.

If Maroon can be a main-stay year after year, Douglas can be good. We said the same thing with Marchment.

We need to have some patience with bigger/slower guys. Just because they're not as fast as Marner and Mathews shouldn't mean we cant have em in the lineup

I don't disagree with your statement in general but I watched a lot of Marlies games last year. Maroon also doesn't play centre.

I want Douglas on the Leafs at some point. He's absolutely violent. Just hoping he gains another step first.

He’d be Nick Ritchie 1.1.

Crouse, however, seems like a dedicated, hard-working player, he’d be great.

Writing off power forwards as a position because the Leafs haven't been able to find a good one is a tough take.
