There’s so much wrong with your post, I don’t even know where to start.
Hughes did not “blow his load” when he traded Kovy, unless someone was under his desk and you were there to see it when he made the trade. He traded 2 depth D that Habs had no space for. Harris and Kovy. Hardly a game changer when it comes to to the Habs D last season or this one. If Kovy was still here, I’d still be a 6th D at best in this team. He’s not a game changing, defence defining player who can magically stabilize the Habs D. Insinuating that is embarrassing and simply comical. It’s like you don’t acknowledge HE WAS ALREADY ON THE TEAM and Habs still finished bottom 5! Where was his magical ability last year? Did it magical fall to him from a UAP flyimg over Jersey? Because even if that was the case, it wouldn’t have fallen to him in Montreal.
This is one of the sadest, most depressing arguments I’ve seen in a long time. Maybe Habs can call up Mario Roberge to settle down the offence and give them the jolt they need, while they’re at it.
