The thing is that she never tried to deter Hughes to make a such move (What everyone who watch the interview told you )
Offering caution or even “warning” Hughes about the fake feelings of fake fans is pathetic

I dont get i why everyone keeps saying the Montreal Canadiens is a bottom team i actually think they have a deep and good mix of skill players and toughness and for me they could very well be a top 15-20 team in the league i mean this lineup cant be that bad?i mean if we had 1 really good righthanded defenceman and Allen plays like a top 10 goalie this could be a playoff team so i think this team could be very underrated.

Slavkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield
Drouin-Dvorak-Anderson
Dadonov-Dach-Gallagher
Hoffman-Evans-Armia

Matheson-Savard
Edmundson-Barron
Harris-Wideman

Allen
Montembeault
Watching the inside draft video, when Hughes called Dach first words out of his mouth was prepare for a lot of skating and offense. Up front we going to put a few pucks in the net.

But defense is young and inexperienced. we an injury away from starting 4 rookies on blueline. In net we have injury prone backup as our main guy. An AHLer as his backup.

Don’t know how we would make it work since we are capped out but trading for Provorov would be the type of gamble we need to make.

I like Provorov but isn't he a left D we need someone to prevent Savard from playing 20+ minutes a night unless they are trying purposefully for Bedard which I'm fine with.

You realize it's her job to manage the image of the organization right? She was literally hired by HuGo to do so and to advise them on PR related matters. So you're calling for them to fire her... for advising them on PR related matters... that they hired her to do...

Not to mention you've decided not to actually listen to the interview and instead completely take the quote out of context and twist it to fit your own manufactured outrage. Take a chill pill man.

To me it's more important to get the talent rather than the position right now, especially for defense. We got a #3 dman in Edmundson who might get traded within the year and a #4 dman in Matheson. Nobody else is a top 4 dman. Maybe Guhle surprises, but with Hughes focus on development and making sure younger players can play quality minutes instead of surviving the league, he probably plays in the AHL for now. If I'm not mistaken, Provorov and Matheson have some experience playing on the right side too.

I agree we need to find talent at the back end but I don't consider Provorov the solution. He's not going to lead our back end and fill that role we are looking for. 3 more years then UFA. I pass on him... unless we are able to send two contracts for his one and then I wonder what the futures we cough up?

At this stage, we have to draft more D. That's how we fill the hole.

She was not hired by HuGo. She was hired by Molson and reports to him.

Fair enough. Still just doing her job though, and it's irrelevant anyways given the poster I quoted was criticizing something didn't even say.
Yes. She reports to Molson so her job is to ensure that profits aren't affected by anything management does. If there is a big enough percentage of fans that are more interested in francaphones on the team than winning Molson will want to know. If a move will improve the team but lose fans will be happy with it?

Trading Hoffman and Armia should be Hughes priority this year. That's 8M that could be use to target a solid player next year on the market.

...the problem is HOW...Hoffman could score 30 this year and I still don't think there's be any interest in him; he's pretty much a write-off at this point...if we could swing a trade for a Lucic or somesuch with a bit higher Cap hit but only one year left, that would probably be the best we could hope for...Armia is another animal entirely; if he could show somewhat consistently the player he CAN be in those all-too-brief instances where he literally takes over the game and shows he can almost dominate (against lesser opposition, of course), then he could prove a player with value at the Deadline...that's on Armia to show...he'll get the opportunity simply for the fact that he won't likely be demoted to the AHL and will be a fixture in the Bottom 6, likely the 4th line...just show up to play, Joel...we'll ship you somewhere nice when you do...promise...

I think Provorov has proven that he is talented enough to be a top pairing dman. Maybe not that stud #1, but definitely someone that can be a #2. I don't think the Flyers did a good job of developing him and I find his tools to be extremely intriguing.

I truly hate that she gave her PR input and it could have derailed the trade. Maybe it was even better than the Monahan trade...
Dude, I skipped most of the interview because I don't have 50 minutes to listen to this, but let's not get carried away. What she says is just that Hughes was trying to potentially sign a Québec-born player and he would just be passing. It wouldn't be a long-term transaction. So she warned them that the player in question was highly regarded in Québec and he would need to play and have a solid amount of minutes if he were to be signed. It's worthwhile and very salient input; it's frankly the type of input she was hired to give. I don't like this bandwagon and hyperbole that's going on in this thread. Some of you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

The culture doesn't change when you hire imbeciles from RDS and convince the fans they're good at their job. Joel Bouchard and now Chantal Machabée had their tires pumped by all the media and fans, including Anglos.

Machabée can piss off.
Gross exaggeration. Have you listened to the interview?
