IMO defenseman are easier to flip even if they are more one-dimensional.Both players at exact same cap hit and term and similar age.
Who’s more flippable in their final year?

Im sure its nothing but Kevin Weekes just posted this on twitter.
I would be quite upset. A very early 2nd for a player who hasn't proven anything and is 1 year away from being waived.Would't be surprise at all !
No he doesn't troll normally.Surprised all else is quiet on Twitter. Weekes trolling us?
Man Weekes going this hard and secretive just to announce a Michael DiPetro signing would be funny.I have a feeling this will be about Michael DiPietro for some reason. There was a rumor Habs were interested in him.
Or a Primeau extension.Man Weekes going this hard and secretive just to announce a Michael DiPetro signing would be funny.
I doubt that would be significant enough to warrant 2 cryptic posts.Or a Primeau extension.
Or a Primeau extension.
Mentioned earlier about the goalie market. Then posts a picture of the city of Montreal. Now posts a picture of the net in Bell Center.
Nice call, seems like it is an Allen extensionI wonder if Hughes is possibly considering signing Allen to a short term extension maybe? The Habs don't really have much in the way of NHL goalie options right now and it would be a good idea to keep a vet goalie around for the next couple of transition seasons.
$17.1M per in 2023 should do it.Have we had a chance to start rumours about signing Nathan McKinnon next year? We'll have the cash.
he’ll resign in colorado.Have we had a chance to start rumours about signing Nathan McKinnon next year? We'll have the cash.
He's one of the few players I would be willing to offer a max deal to.$17.1M per in 2023 should do it.
Two years at $2.5ish might make sense for the club. An extension gets risky quickly at longer term or bigger money.I wonder if Hughes is possibly considering signing Allen to a short term extension maybe? If a deal is in the works, maybe Hughes is targeting a RHD who can QB a PP. That would put Lundkvist on the radar.
Another option is working out something with the Kings who are stacked with RHDs. Marco D’Amico suggested a target:
Others to consider from the Kings’ roster: Sean Durzi, Jordan Spence, Brandt Clarke.
Bottom line, there is complementarity between Habs and Kings:
“The Kings could use their surplus of young defensemen, and they could (at the same time) take advantage of the CH's surplus of forwards, to add the other top-9 forward they've been after for a while.”
Possible trade between the Canadiens and Kings: Helge Grans would be a prime target for Kent Hughes
As the start of training camp really begins to approach, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton may intensify their search forwww.habsfanatics.com
