that's the thing...all these deals look better as years go by. same with this deal. if it happens. or, at least, that's the rationale that the front office will take. and i'm not gonna argue.
What? Redden's deal looked better as the years went on? Gomez's deal looked better as the years went on?
Callahan's contract won't look better in a few years if he gets a 6 year, $6 million per contract. He's already declining and not having the same effect on the ice as he was a few years ago (not talking about points there). I don't see how the contract would look better, unless you suddenly rounds back into the player he was in 2011-2012.
