Peterka + Jokiharju + Savoie + 2nd for Chychrun + Bjustad

Do it. Do it.
I think this deal is fine, you have to give to get. Only thing I don’t love is Joker going the other way. Ideally Chychrun would bump him down to the bottom pair and we’ll never see Clague again.

I agree we need to spend to get but we don't need Bjustad tho

I would do Olofsson 50% retained, Rosen, 24 1st and Portillo for Chychrun... hell throw in one of our 2nds too

Adams says he is constantly on the phones and working them to see if he can improve the team.

I find that very hard to believe he can't find better players than Clague, Bryson, Joker and Boosh.

I really don't get what he is doing letting this team down by not getting them help.

He laid out a plan to ownership that they won’t do anything for years but draft and develop. It was approved because it means be cheap. Now he can’t change the plan even though it is going to trap us in the middle.

He won’t do anything of note in the off-season either. People need to come to terms with that now. The team is almost fully under contract. He’s going to save Terry another ton of millions next year and pay off his promise to him. It’s never been about winning or helping the team In the near future.

His refusal to pivot when things are both going well AND the issues are embarrassingly obvious…should make what’s happening pretty apparent.

They’ll run it back and miss the playoffs for the 13th year. Waste the window where their top players made nothing. And then start doing things after next season.

The worst part isn’t his inactivity. It’s not even his boldfaced lie about always looking for ways to improve the team. It’s that he can do nothing and fail for another year and he wont be fired. Because he’s serving the only plan he’s got.

Becoming very obvious Pegula won't approve spending cap room and actual money to get assets. Poor Terry, his net worth only climbed from $5.5 B to $7 B after the pandemic. The dig another well days are over, people. Wake up.

Sure looking this way. Amazing how people, including media, keeping believing ownership crap. The Dahlin bridge deal that's coming may wake people up.

If any of this is true, which I doubt, sell the f***ing team!

When he bought them he said he won't stop til he wins a cup. Frankly I believe him.

Prove me right!

It’s easy to say that Pegula won’t pay for a roster with the barely-legal cap hit and dogshit defense and goalie depth, not to mention the maintain the lifestyle debacle, but there’s reason to think they might be turning that around.

A dormant deadline should have the fires burning though

If I'm trading Peterka and Savoie, I'm trading them for players with more term than Chychrun and Bjugstad have. Trading all those pieces for 1 year of Bjugstad and 2 years left of Chychrun, I'm not willing to give up a potential glue franchise guy in Peterka (we should be looking to add more like him) and possibly Savoie, guys that could be pieces key to our success if money becomes an issue.

I don't see the sabres trading Savoie, teams seem to be super protective of their top ten draft assets. Most 1st rounders have top ten or lottery protection.

Can you remember the last time a team traded a top ten prospect before they had a good idea about their development (e.g. before D+4 season)?

Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds and a 2nd for Mike Richards and Rob Bordson, June 23, 2011. It's been a bit.
