Extrapolating what Edmonton paid for Ekholm. It's not perfect, but it's probably this:

2023 1st (higher than Edmonton's)

Jokiharji (not as good as Barrie, but younger. Barrie's production might be inflated, but it's for just this and next year).

Rosen (better prospect than Schaefer).

Close enough. I don't think I pay that for Ekholm, and I wanted him on the Sabres.

I wonder if it’s something like 1st+Johnson+Bryson or something like that?


Schenn and Stillman have the same exact xGF% this season FWIW.

I don't see it that way. I see a winger who doesn't give much at 5v5 and whose only real high end quality is his shot. Sure, he's made some passes, but it's not really his game. He needs to be on the end of the play, so he's dependent on others to succeed.

Oh, and he's streaky as hell. He's the type that disappears in the playoffs.

Greenway has a different game, and I don't think you can measure that by points as the primary factor.

I don't know, I think for what Greenway could be, it's a good deal. If Granato can unlock him as a 3rd line power winger, you're getting what Tampa got out of Nick Paul. I think that's a lot of value.

I think you come out way better in the end if you put VO on the trade block at 50% retained and then use a portion of what you get back in that deal to acquire Greenway.

Greenway’s trade value is likely way more Poolparty than Jeannot. Especially given he is owed two more years at $3M and he is having a horrible season offensively.

I am sure Arizona asked for Savioe.

Barrie is way over valued. He’s in lieu of retaining.

Barrie is a legit 2nd pair D who is a very good PP QB. Nashville can flip him for a 1st easily.

The prospect is Edmontons latest 1st round pick who hasn't devalued at all.

It's two firsts a 4th and whatever they get for Barrie. For miminal retention.

Rumored price for Ekholm was 2 1sts. They got more.
