Any news about Gavrikov? He's the D i think i low key might want even more than the likes of Chychrun, Ekholm or Parayko after cost is considered.

But I'm afraid that we are done & are going to be forced to play at least one or more of Clague/Bryson/Stillman every game

I'd be interested in why. I'm kind of the opposite actually, Gavrikov is one player I'd really prefer we don't target unless he ends up coming really cheaply (which seems unlikely) and seems absolutely in the mold of defensemen that get overvalued every year around the deadline.

I don't think analytics tell the whole story of a player, but this is a pretty decent breakdown of why his results seem pretty clear that he he might not be particularly good at actually defending.

I don't have an athletic sub.

Yes - my preference is mostly based on acquisition cost - which I expect to be a great deal less than a Chychrun & the fact that he's still a pretty clear upgrade over what we currently have.

I would personally like to see a move for one of the higher tier guys mentioned - but I'm also aware that the cost will hurt & i simply don't see Adams making a move like this. Gavrikov at least seems viable...

I mean thats a lot of good moves but with so many changes like that, you'd wonder if it throws off the room at all? That's a lot of people not really knowing one another

why? he's been bad for awhile and 'just another GOALIE' at this point, trading assets for 80% of these goalies or thinking he'll be 'the guy' compared to what's here is a fools errand...nobody knows what these guys are gonna do year to year while switching teams.

Theiir bottom 2 lines were rough and D can adjust quickly. I don't think they should be too concerned.

He seems to get a lot of hate - but he's actually been OK this year playing behind a bad Columbus team. Considerably better numbers than Merzlikins...
