trading Joker this year at least to add a dman seems counter intuitive to me. Long term and if we sign Johnson...sure why not
Kane supposedly moved for a song
I'd retain 50% on Olofsson and move him to the Wild for Greenway. Seems like a decent deal, especially if Granato can more out of Greenway.
It's not like the Sabres haven't been scoring, and Olofsson hasn't really contributed in a while, so it might be a good deal.
I can’t belief washington gave up a 1st…..I can't believe that the Leafs traded the Rasmus that was better than our Rasmus according to Leaf fans![]()
There's no way they move Olofsson unless it's in conjunction with other moves. And that's highly unlikely with Adams at the helmfor a better D, I can see that as part of it.
you have Lyub next year, use 2923 1st on RD who coukd replace him. Johnson signed and playing on left side.
next year

NMC, see Hall. You say I’m only going to X you kill the price of return.
Minnesota has a tight cap. Olofsson at 50% vs his salary doesn’t make much cap space.
Talk about a bag blowing in the wind...What is Washington doing?
Still surprises me that he's on an NHL roster getting playing time this seasonI not so fondly remember getting Hudson Fasching for 2 seconds.
tearing it down. What is Washington doing?
Of course he's going to score the game winner against us in the one of the upcoming games against the Islanders. Of course.Still surprises me that he's on an NHL roster getting playing time this season
Some stories just write themselvesOf course he's going to score the game winner against us in the one of the upcoming games against the Islanders. Of course.
I don't see it that way. I see a winger who doesn't give much at 5v5 and whose only real high end quality is his shot. Sure, he's made some passes, but it's not really his game. He needs to be on the end of the play, so he's dependent on others to succeed. He's on pace to score 30 goals this season.
A 20-30 goal winger at a cap hit just south of $2.4M this year and next year should get you more than what Greenway is currently, especially given that he has a cap hit at $3M for two more years beyond this year.
VO has 9 assists this season. And that is more than Greenway has in points (6).
Yeah, getting my Ms messed up.You mean Montreal for rights to Luke Tuch right?
I don't know, I think for what Greenway could be, it's a good deal. If Granato can unlock him as a 3rd line power winger, you're getting what Tampa got out of Nick Paul. I think that's a lot of value.Ollie at 50% for Greenway is terrible value for Buffalo.

Dubas isn't done. If he doesn't get out of the first round against Tampa, he's gone in Toronto.

Oh, and he's streaky as hell. He's the type that disappears in the playoffs.
Greenway has a different game, and I don't think you can measure that by points as the primary factor.

They've got a first this year (Is it Boston's or Washington's own?) and their own 2024 1st to play with.
Sure seems like the base for a Chychrun or Ekholm deal. Or a goalie if they get real aggressive.
They still have cap issues if they want to activate matt murray
I appear to have bad timingNow handled with removing Engvall’s contract.
