Can’t wait to see what haul they get for him
Higher risk, but Maltsev and Kaut will also be cheaper. I'd trade Kerfoot for Maltsev and Kaut, and try both on 2LW and hope one of them works out. These guys are not even NHLers, nor better than a bunch of guys we have on the fringe of the NHL in our system.
Playoff teams aren’t in the business of trading off proven playoff performers for kids to “try out”Higher risk, but Maltsev and Kaut will also be cheaper. I'd trade Kerfoot for Maltsev and Kaut, and try both on 2LW and hope one of them works out.
Doesn't make a lot of sense for NYR to spend 3.8 on a backup when they have the 2nd best goalie in the NHL
Id like to see Kerfoot moved for a more physical winger, who is good on the cycle.
What ever gives you the impression Kyle is too proud to admit mistakes? Have you paid attention to anything? Obviously not…I have a suspicion that Dubas won't trade Kerfoot because that'll be admitting he completely lost the Kadri trade and he's too proud for that.

If that were the case, wouldn't he have re-signed Barrie?I have a suspicion that Dubas won't trade Kerfoot because that'll be admitting he completely lost the Kadri trade and he's too proud for that.

That would be a terrible trade not only in terms of value but in terms of making this team weaker this year after just giving up assets to make it better.Higher risk, but Maltsev and Kaut will also be cheaper. don’t cha know? Kerfoot sucks because Dubas wears glasses.Ok but it doesn't change the fact that we have probably 4 or 5 unproven prospects in our system who have looked better than them.
Joey Anderson, Pontus Holmberg, Nick Robertson, Nick Abruzzese, Alex Steeves, Matthew Knies... I would try any of them if I am going with a complete toss up.
Why are we giving up a valuable piece for two unknowns who are just more of what we already have?
Yes. I am sure his ego is so fragile that he won't do it to save face. Maybe he'll even cry in a corner while wetting himself.I have a suspicion that Dubas won't trade Kerfoot because that'll be admitting he completely lost the Kadri trade and he's too proud for that.
Still 2When will we know if Mrazek was picked off waivers or not? Is it still 2pm on deadline day or is it earlier?

I just really don't like our chances against Florida, Tampa, Boston, etc, and Kerfoot doesn't fit this team. He's not suited for 2LW or being on the 4th line. I'd rather roll the dice on "trying out" Maltsev or Kaut.Playoff teams aren’t in the business of trading off proven playoff performers for kids to “try out”
Kerfoot might go, but it’ll be in the off/season. Ditto with Holl.
Another overpay. Dubas has made the best deals in Gio and Lyb
Noon I believe. When will we know if Mrazek was picked off waivers or not? Is it still 2pm on deadline day or is it earlier?
But Blackwell plays the PK too, I think a move for a Komarov type would be great if possible even if it's at 2mil or so this would then give them more room to move players up and down I believe... I was impressed by Garnet Hathaway and thought I guy like that is what we should for in a 4th linerHe won’t trade Kerfoot because Kerfoot is a damn solid and versatile player, a huge part of our penalty kill and has been very good in the playoffs for us. The only way you’re moving him is for an upgrade and that shouldn’t be expected cheap
Pretty sure it’s 2pm, I’m sure internally they’ll know beforehand but at minimum they’ll know by 2pm and the trade deadline is 3pm so I’m sure whatever they’re looking at is worked out in principle and just would need final touchesWhen will we know if Mrazek was picked off waivers or not? Maltsev is 6'3'' and Kaut is 6'2'', outside of Knies, we don't really have similar prospect in our system. They are already playing the AHL, while Knies hasn't. And I don't think Kerfoot with his 3.5M cap hit, is a valuable piece to this team.Ok but it doesn't change the fact that we have probably 4 or 5 unproven prospects in our system who have looked better than them.
