Sounds like a lot of Jet players want to jump ship. Dubois also let them know he's going to test free agency when his deal is up in 2024, which means they'll probably trade him at some point before that.

This is after Sheifele reportedly asked for a trade and Wheeler is also being shopped.

Hellebuyck might not be a name that's farfetched after all to acquire. The price will be high though I assume. There's a report that he'll want to be traded if they go through a rebuild.

I'd much prefer to go after him than Gibson, though the price would rightfully be quite high. Still, he's only 29, is signed for two more years, and is generally considered to be a top 5-10 goalie but without the massive 3 year drop off Gibson has had.

Interesting question. Goalies historically never seem to bring back that much. But he's certainly worth a decent amount

Probably in the range of 2 1sts or equivalent prospects.
And historically team who dont have to trade their #1 elite goalie dont trade him...

Theres no reason for Winnipeg to trade, helly, they are not in a rebuild unstead he asking a trade or get sometbing they cant reject...

Carolina and Winnipeg reject

To Toronto: Conner Hellebuyck + Logan Stanley
To Winnipeg: Petr Mrazek + Rasmus Sandin + Nick Robertson + 2023 1st Rounder

Overpay or not enough to get Hellebuyck? I through in Stanley with the intentions of Muzzin heading back to LA.

I didn’t put him on this roster.
Thats sort of my point. The guy has play 19 points playing 16:40 a night. I can't see him not resigning and I don't think he will take a pay cut. I think they would see him as a core piece that has to come back.

Anaheim with Gibson and Dostal, I’d be trying to get Stolarz from them. Solid cheap backup goalie. A Hellebuyck - Stolarz tandem next season? I could really dig that!

Carolina reject easily and they aren't managed by dumb gm, and won't trade pesce or add

Why Winnipeg should want to rebuild and trade away helly?

Jets will look to find a way to be in playoff next season not in a rebuild mode

They still have a really good team..They having really good young player. Very good top 6, their D dont look that bad on paper. They just need to find the way to fix defensive issues as a team.

Some young are ready get a bigger role next season with perfetti and heinola

hope they are kicking tires on Matthew Tkachuk , he'd be an amazing add and the battle of Ontario would be next level . Don't think they have the pieces (they could be outbid if the ask is prospects and picks) but just a thought

I guess they could trade Nylander for Picks/Prospects and then flip them for Tkachuk

They just let their entire 3rd line walk after back to back cups. They have a built in replacement with Hagel who score more goals this year than Palat has ever scored in a season (playoffs excluded). Unless they unload Killorn to re-sign Palat I don't see him coming back.

Damn that sucks.

Vegas is going to have some moves coming this summer.
I'm betting they offload Martinez for nothing similar to Fleury last year. Detroit would probably gladly take the hometown player with 2 cups to play alongside Seider for the next 2 years. Winnipeg probably gladly takes back Brossoit assuming Comrie leaves. Vegas then rolls out something like this with Smith taking closer to 5M:

Why don’t we throw in Knies and Niemela while we’re at it?

Why would Calgary move Tkachuk? Can't see them having any interest in doing that.

Doesn't seem like enough from the Leaf side.

If they thought they had no chance or resigning him they might. Nylander was born in Calgary but Sutter would have a coronary if they acquired Nylander.

He's RFA though isn't he?
Agree with you on Sutter, Nylander would not be a good fit there.

You're right. He signed him for 3 years with a QO of 9 million on his RFA which he can opt into and leave after 4 as a UFA.

100 points last year. If Marner who has never hit 100 points is worth 11. MT is certainly worth 9 IMO after last year. If he wants to leave, move him. Pretty sure GMs will be lined up to make offers.

yeah gaudreau and his 10 hits in 82 games really set the bar for the kind of rough and tough players allowed to play for calgary.

calgary would welcome nylander with open arms. I'd have Nylander's floor at 80 points if he was a Flame next season, they'd let him loose.

When were the contracts signed? Marner had a 94 point season when he signed. How many 80 point seasons had Tkachuk had at the time?
