we'll have like 4 million if Mrazek/Clifford clear I think

We can still get a big piece. Just depends if Dubas wants to sacrifice futures

That's assuming Muzzin doesn't come back for a single game of the regular season, which doesn't look likely according to all reports.

Interesting to note, if the goalie we just signed clears we'll be at 49/50 contracts.

If we want to sign both Knies and Abbruzzese we're going to have to move someone.

(or maybe Buffalo claims Mrazek pls)

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Nylander - Tavares - Kase
Mikheyev - Kampf - Engvall
Knies - Kerfoot - Blackwell

Rielly - Lyubushkin
Giordano - Brodie
Muzzin - Holl

Campbell
Sateri
Dubas can’t be done with the goalies right? If he’s willing to gamble that Jack returns to form then he’s not as smart as I thought he was.

Right. Why would a goalie play better after recovering from broken ribs? There's no chance!
As much as I expect Campbell to be better than he was before being shelved I can’t see going into the playoffs with him & whoever of mrazek kallgren or Sheri oteri sticks around being all that inspiring

As much as I think Kerfoot would be an easy chip to move for cap space, I think the Leafs like his versatility too much and his role on the PK.
I can see him along with several others being moved around to readjust the middle class of this roster, in the off-season. For the 2022 playoff Leafs he brings too much value.

I think this sounds about right. Plus he's performed well in his playoff stint with the Leafs so far. One of the few who have showed up every game.

Can sign them to contracts stating next year
Don't need to rush to burn an ELC year this year

If I am the Leafs, I seriously look into moving Kerfoot for someone stylistically different who is on an expiring contract as he most likely will have to be moved in the off season anyway.

Something like Andrew Copp for Kerfoot perhaps? Saves Winnipeg from having to try to sell a UFA on signing with that sinking ship.

Copp would be excellent.

Kerfoot for someone who's gritter and heavier would be ideal. I just dont think the leafs are gonna be able to do it.

Our forward group is just way too small and soft.

why would knies be playing for us in playoffs? not critisizing, generally asking?

Kerfoot has been so good for the Leafs, that I'm not sure they would do such a thing, but I like the idea of getting something back for a guy we aren't likely to retain.

If he goes, he's probably going in a goalie deal.
