We've dealt with the Sens before. I'd like to see Dubas inquire about Nick Paul. Would be a big body that adds some sandpaper in our top 6. If not, it's rumoured Austin Watson could be on the move. Would love to get him as a 4th line guy. Hits everything that moves and has decent wheels. Fact of the matter is, we're gonna be in for some nasty series here in the East. Likely Florida or Tampa first and they'll both be imposing themselves physically

EDIY: I didn't see that Nick Paul was moved. Would still call about Austin Watson

Fleury is playing today. So I don’t see what we do about goalies.

We are really going. Hurt Campbell. Kalgren. Sateri?

That is a good deal for Paul.

Paul is a better shutdown guy than Joseph with similar offensive output (and can play some center in a pinch), but that is about it.

Joseph comes with more control, which is good for Ottawa... And they get a pick.

For a 4th and a fairly replaceable 4th liner, it is not a bad deal for a team loading up. If we didn't get Blackwell, I would be down. With Blackwell in, I am not really sure of the fit unless Kase is out for a long time or we never want Simmonds in the lineup again. Blackwell is also better than Paul at hockey, but Paul is bigger. Not more physical or more energetic, just bigger.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Mikheyev - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - Kampf - Engvall
Blackwell - Spezza - Simmonds
Clifford/Steeves

Assuming Kase is on LTIR.

Rielly - Lyubushkin
Giordano - Brodie
Muzzin - Liljegren
Sandin - Holl

Campbell
Kallgren/Sateri/Mrazek

Looking at the Defence, That's 8 capable dman. I think one more forward add would be good for this team. Although our left hand looks week, I'd prefer to upgrade down the middle if we do anything else.

A guy like Copp pushes Kampf to line 4, have Simmonds Spezza rotating.

So are we done? Or is there more?

Kerfoot and Blackwell in the 4th line is so soft. Unless they're putting Kerfoot back on the Tavares line.

although the value may seem good. I don't think moves like this help either team. Too drastic. Come playoff time that really isn't good to have that drastic of a change.
Yeah, at this point I'd seriously turn the third line into the fourth line, put Nylander with Kerfoot and Robinson on the third line and see about building a line around Tavares that fits more to his strengths.

I see him going back to Tavares's wing. He's been pacing for over 55 points there.
