Trade and Free Agency Thread - 2021/22 Part XII - C'mon Trades!

Lindholm to Boston, is better than Chychrun to Boston... at least it's shorter term, and he'll go UFA.

I wonder if Chychrun is going to stay put now, given it seems most suitors have already made trades.

la is making a hard push for chychrun

maybe the blues get back in now that they lost hampus who were they competing hard for with the b's

This team is great when they're on and a tire fire when they're not. No deadline tweaking is going to change that. I'd save the futures in this insane market and hope we get hot with the group we already have. We have high end talent and depth everywhere. Only major question mark is goaltending but a healthy Campbell is just as likely to be the answer as anyone they pick up in trade and Kallgren is holding the fort in the meantime. Stand pat.

The longer this goes on....I feel like we're going to end up with Giordano at the 11th hour ...and Knies will be our own "deadline addition"
Mrazek should be shot into the moon. Kallgren already showing that he can at least be our backup for much cheaper

Actually I only see 1... lindholm.

Does this balance Boston up to Florida or Tampa... I don't know but Leafs probably don't stand pat... just hope it doesn't cripple the pool like Tampa.

I am more than happy to drive Mrazek to his next destination. Zero confidence in that guy

And yeah. The answer is in the locker room speech. Cant wait to we earned the right to have Gio in our locker room

Minny wants to do what Vegas did to Colorado. Pound them to stone age. Girard and Makar couldnt walk after that series

They are thinking they may play calgary and Colorado at some point. If they end with Oilers, McDavid going to have some bruises

Very underrated pick up. Nic can skate and play

At least now the new baseball playoff format doesn’t completely punish teams for yheir division by offering up enough wild card slots.
The divisional format of 4 8 team chunks would annoy me less than it does if they went back to 1-8.

That's what I think will happen to us in the playoffs like every year.. Matthews was getting abused all playoffs.

Would love Schenn. Him being right-handed is the cherry on top. If we can grab Schenn and Giordano....our defense would have the depth to play any game. Which is exactly the philosophy Bill Guerin is going with. "We have ability to play the skill game or meet you in the back alley".

Sandin & and Liljegren can rotate in with Schenn depending on matchups and what's needed. Also elite depth to have in case of injuries.

These are some throw back teams with most of them are league leaders in hits

No to Schenn maybe to Gio

They both are terribly slow. Muzzin is also very slow. Holl is not fast neither is Sandin

Yeah i'm all for toughness but Deslauriers brings nothing to the table that we already dont have in Simmonds and Clifford. Would've been a hard pass.

If we're targeting a 4th line gritty forward, I want someone with more intangibles. Like a Sam Carrick or Johan Larrson
 
Do small trades to plug holes. Tampa and Florida have no futures to trade next deadline unless they sell off core pieces, Boston's core is getting old and their prospect pool is shallow. The time for an all-in move is next deadline unless it's a long-term piece we can get now.
