Priskie is someone I'd keep an eye on.
I have no expectations for Priskie as an NHL defenseman, but if Duszak wants to leave and we are not bringing Biega back, we only have Hollowell and Villeneuve realistically on our depth chart next year. Priskie could be our Duszak replacement, but that also means he won't have much of an impact on our NHL roster either.
As for the others on that list:
I find it hard to believe Pitlick will be made available by Montreal. He has been excellent there and short of injury, should play the rest of the necessary games.
Middleton is decent defensive depth, but as stated earlier, is not worth SJS's asking price. That being said, he will likely find a bottom pairing job somewhere. Just likely won't be here.
No idea why Philp is 3rd on that list. He is a career AHLer. No NHL upside whatsoever, and there were guys listed at the bottom who are much better Group 6 UFA's then he is.
Taro Hirose, much like Marody, Ho-Sang, and Brooks, will probably get some interest as a AAAA guy who will get a shot an NHL job but most likely will be a primary offensive contributor in the AHL again. We may look at Brooks due to our familiarity with him, but the others are likely not coming here. We have younger offensive guys who need those spots, and we can just bring Brett Seney back. Seney is a similar type of player who is already familiar with the team, and I bet he is willing to re-sign with us even if he is a Group 6 UFA himself (I believe; Capfriendly lists him as an RFA still for some reason).
Zach Senyshyn should be someone the Leafs will keep tabs on. Former Soo player who was a high draft pick. Dubas knows him well. Hasn't amounted to much in the Bruins system, but he could be the kind of guy we sign similarly to Seney last year and let him be a top 6 AHLer with a shot to crack an NHL lineup. Has some edge, has the speed, has some good offensive potential. May just need a new shot elsewhere and could be a solid middle 6 winger still. At the very least, he can be a good offensive replacement for Joey Anderson. I can see interest in Mitchell Stephens as well, if he doesn't stay in Detroit (I think he will reach the threshold after Detroit moves a few bodies and opens a few spots).
Lagesson, Aho, Friedman, Juulsen, Niku, and Walman are decent defensive depth options (mostly for the Marlies). Some are better fits than others of course. Lagesson, Friedman, and Juulsen specifically are better fits since the Marlies need strong defensive presences more than offensive defensemen. Colton White and Austin Strand are another solid pair potentially, but they were not listed.
Both of the goalies on that list suck and will likely go back to Europe.
Menell is the only one officially listed as a Group 6 UFA who is Leafs property. We are not keeping him. He will likely be used as Duszak's Marlies replacement for the rest of the year and then will be let go. Dakota Joshua is another former Leafs' prospect who is a Group 6 UFA, and may be one of the better Group 6 guys out there.
I think out of that list, Rem Pitlick, Jakub Zboril (who is stupidly not listed here for some reason), and maybe Middleton/Joshua are the only ones with any kind of real upside for teams. The rest are AAAA options with maybe a little bit of long shot potential at best and are AHL fodder at worst.
