Looks like the Leafs will be wearing a black jersey next week?

Yeah no chance I'm moving anybody from the 3rd line
More detail.
Here is what will likely happen. Leafs will try for Lindholm but move on if price doesn't drop. Gio will be their guy and a depth forward. Dermott will be traded in some deal.
Especially when next year goaltending is up in the airHonestly, the goalies have been blowing games for over 3 months in a row, it is a big year for the team. Why would you not get a goalie of some kind? Where is the logic in it? Kallgren has masked issues the past couple games, but he will not be there when the team plays in round #1. That would be a very bizarre move to stand pat there. Even if prices are high on Varlamov and Fleury or they can't fit them in with Mrazek and other things they want to accomplish. There is Forsberg, Holtby and Stolarz. Don't be lazy, grab one, common sense.
It would be nice if the forward wasn't a softie.Dermott out. I don't like it but it's probably best for him. 4th liner in. And probably a D.
Dermott + 2nd + b level prospect
Giordano + Appleton
Would that work?
As someone who watches European soccer religiously, that's not true at all. They have 3kits and they design new ones every year. I wouldn't mind seeing a black jersey either.Taking a page out of football/soccer schemes out of Europe. They come out with 10 different kits for 10 different games per year. One for regular, one for practice, one for el classico, one for championship series
I wouldn't mind seeing some black jersies. I think they'll be cool
Given recent trades, Dermott should return an unprotected lottery pick, and top prospect.
Katchouk and raddysh are like 24yrs old and have never established themselves as NHLers. They are not comparable to 20yr old top prospects.
They're not even Dermott-level value.
Top 10 protectedWhat are the conditions on the picks? Seems like a horrible trade for a guy shooting 22%

All players make costly errors. You have to give them a chance if they've earned it at some point.I don't disagree in theory, but giving them that experience will come with costly errors, and I don't think we can afford that in the first round this season.
Still crazy though
“Overpaid” by Tampa sure BUT…their firsts will likely be 2nd rounders in value and they get a cost affordable player for multiple seasons.
We we’re in that position last year but blew the load on Foligno lol
Dubas is rightfully shopping Dermott given the market.. would be pretty shrewd to get a nice asset for him to help recoup whatever they spend elsewhere
I wonder if we should chase a top 9 forward with some time left on his contract with the Dermott return
Gives us depth this year and helps when we lose Mikheyev and Kase (maybe) next season
They are youngish top forward prospects (one 23 and one just turned 24) who were both 2nd rounders buried behind Tampa's depth and just getting a chance (both PPG players in the AHL last season for 22 year old season). Just trying to gauge value here.
Who would you compare them to on the Leafs?
