LEAFS - FLYERS

Joey Anderson & 2nd 2023

LEAFS - SHARKS
Jacob Middleton
for
Travis Dermott & 2nd 2022

LEAFS - KINGS
Brendan Lemieux

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Kerfoot - Tavares - Nylander
Mikheyev - Kampf - Kase
Lemieux - MacEwen - Spezza/Simmonds/Clifford

Rielly - Brodie
Muzzin - Sandin
Middleton - Lyub

Can we please stop actively throwing away assets to make our team worse.

Middleton is not better than Holl or Liljegren. Lemieux and MacEwan are not better than anyone in our forward lineup. Heck, Anderson is better than MacEwan, and we have to add a 2nd on top of him? MacEwan was literally waiver fodder this year and has been a mediocre enforcer 4th liner on a bad team to show for it.

Oh yeah, also another goal Bogo was on the ice for was Galchenyuk's infamous pass that led to the 2 on 0 in OT.

I'm actually glad you brought this up - perfect example of why hockey isn't played on a stat sheet and why you actually have to watch the game to understand how things go down.

Oh I agree - it takes someone that understands hockey to know the importance of what a d partner does or doesn't do.

Superficial viewers can see the big "mistakes" very easily, especially on the highlights, but have very little understanding of how poor supporting play by teammates helps cause those mistakes.

you probably never even asked yourself how one iffy pass across the blueline, by a player at the blueline, somehow turned into a 2 on 0.

Reactions: Dekes For Days
Going to guess Colorado (future 1st).

It's hard to peg his value. He should absolutely pull a 1st for his production/contract, but how much more is the question. Anything less is a steal. This is the type of player the Leafs should have burned a 1st + on but i'm not sure they can afford to after the Foligno debacle and Amirov situation.

Some fans are so fixated on grit that they don't even ask the basic question of if the move is an upgrade.

Extra crosschecks and scrums while the goalie is fishing the puck out of the net may make it look like they are pissed off and trying, it still doesn't equate to winning games....

Tampa and Florida not gonna make it easy for the Leafs. I would say Brisbois and Zito call check Kyle but that would not go over well.

Lindholm+Rakell+Gibson

For

Nylander +

Do you do it?
It looks good now in adding two pieces (net) to a playoff team, assuming of course that the cap can be worked out. I might feel differently about it if next season boils down to Nylander for Gibson though.

All Bogosian's fault. I don't doubt that you actually believe that.

My apologies to the mods for driving this off topic.

So it sounds like its a 1st and a prospect and more.

I like Hagel but this sounds like a lot. Definitely would have given the 1st for him but I'm not sure how much more. I guess we'll see what the + are.
