Jarnkrok would have been interesting but I don’t know if he’s an upgrade to what they currently have.

Not upset about Chariot

Jarnkrok seems like he is too good and yet not good enough.

Too good (and expensive) to just be a 4th line upgrade, and not good enough to be a top 6 upgrade.

You know there are going to be posts, mad at Dubas for sitting on his hands, while the teams around us get "better". Probably some of the same people who never really wanted Chiarot anyway.

Fairly sure the only people pissed about not adding Chiarot are the ones who actually like Chiarot.

He is not a good defenseman, and I hope Florida paid through the nose to add him.

They already put their whistles away for any team that plays against us. We are used to it.

Yeah, that's a very heavy price. Smilanic was drafted in the 3rd in 2020, so we're looking at 1+3+4. Heavy, heavy price.

But that's not going to be of much solace to AM when he's absorbing an avalanche of cross-checks from this guy in the playoffs. Quite annoying.

Also, unless Giroux's price comes way down, they are moving their 2024 top pick, or they somehow include some other combination of futures, it seems like Florida is out of that race.

I don't think Tippett, Samoskevich, or Denisenko are getting Giroux either.

I see Giroux ending up in Colorado. After adding Manson and Sturm, adding a player like Giroux really puts them over the top. I can see Giroux also wanting to go to Colorado, gives him one of the best chances of winning the Stanley Cup.
