He's good as any 2nd rounder. He's also pro ready. Has decent upside and good size

I'd trade for him early if he would be willing to sign with us right away, like Hellesen did with Anaheim. Punt them a conditional pick in 2023 or a player like Kivihalme or something.

I can't get on board with a Chiarot trade.

I can get on board with a Middleton trade.

Potential cat. 6 free agent this summer. Similar situation to Bunting. Brings the same snarl without having to pay for name value or reputation like in the case of Chiarot.

To me it's a win win situation for all three parties if we can get him now
He can play for Marlies or injury call up insteady of waiting until August

Minny gets a draft pick without losing out in everything. Leafs get a big body both for Marlies and even Leafs
He's 23 and has a man's body

To be honest, between those two, I'll go with Chiarot. He has more playoff experience and does have a bit of an edge

I've been posting about McBain in here since before the new year but the only way I'd give up assets for him early is if you absolutely know he's going to be playing for you in the playoffs. Otherwise I just wait until August 15th.

I've had toronto kid that are hard core non leaf fans so who knows man

Kivihalme is worthless. He is not even good enough for our AHL lineup and he is 26. He is pretty much just a contract dump at this point.

We may be able to get him for a guy like SDA or Koster if they can't find what they are looking for. I personally wouldn't pay more than that.

I think this is a Hyman situation all over again. Give them a conditional 5-7th whatever and bring him into the organization asap.

I think the only two prospect from what I've read on from the marlies board/prospect board I'd be very very reluctant to move is probably Knies & Holmberg. I haven't followed our prospect in a couple of years and have no access to marlies so I can not say as I did in the past. Knies Due to well...he's the power forward build and body I think every team always dreams and wants, and Holmberg seems to have extreme talent. So if they are on the board it must be damn well worthy lol.

If we trade Knies it has to be a for someone with term. To me Knies is the only untouchable

Holmberg reminds me of another AJ. Which is not bad, a very serviceable player
