I don’t understand the desire for Kessel TBH

Goaltending is a clear issue. This has become very apparent. Both teams were sloppy tonight, both teams generated lots of chances, St Louis got a .919 save percentage out of their goalie, we got .848

This is happening way too often

For sure. So are we allowing more HD scoring chances now than we were? I do seem to recall earlier in the season we were regularly outshooting teams. Now, not so much.

Yes. This is their 6th game together. Galchenyuk was actually C on the top line with Keller and Schmaltz the previous few games. They swapped Boyd and Galchenyuk 6 games ago and it's paid off for them.

I wonder if the Leafs could peddle Ritchie with a 3rd round pick in 2023 to the Coyotes for Dzingel. I feel like this is pretty fair...

Cuts cap space, gain a useful depth player. Coyotes get a pick to horde and a player to flip eventually and help to reach the cap floor.

I don't think the Leafs are quite done. They definitely need to cut some cap space somewhere else, unless they plan to waive Dzingel and/or keep Liljegren with the Marlies for a little bit.
