Mackinnon is in full beast mode .

Panarin looks great .

Hardy for France has been a nice surprise also

Merzlikins in goal and and Clayton Keller up the ice have been good so far.

Nathan MacKinnon is top quality and William Nylander runs the play and distributes very well. However that should not count as a surprise, I guess :)

Hietanen probably the best defenceman in the tournament so far.

Should have been in the World cup along with some other experienced d-men who play in Europe. They went for young players who play in North America instead.

Finland:

Aho is by far the best player in the team, even when he has a bad game he is the best player
Filppula is really, really bad. Basically invisible, except now when he scored against Switzerland in OT
Pyorala is terrible and overrated inside team Finland. Constantly mishandles the puck, has the puck taken away and is very slow.
Honka skates really smoothly but yet everyone keeps up with him. He needs more strength in his legs.
Ohtamaa loves to give the puck to opposite team, constantly. Don't understand how he is in the team.

sorry just nothing really good in team Finland :D

Any Av not named Duchene or Soderberg is having a surprisingly good tournament. MacKinnon is obvious, but Barrie was on fire before the injury. Rantanen is solid, not amazing, but Finland is underperforming.

As harsh as I have been towards this "shambles" of a team and coaching called the Lions of Finland (and probably, if only possible, even too harsh (yet, that only testifies to my passion for the game and the related NT affairs, so being a bit too subjective and unfair in this context is a no can do situation)) - I must admit that mr. Seabass Aho and mr. Orange Julius Honka have both put up a nice display of promise, ability and execution on the icy Parisien table. Without them - where would this horrendous "shambles" be now? Most likely at the bottom of the bunch looking eagerly for the silent exit via a sudden and surprising relegation. Hah!
