Proposal: Toughness to the Leafs

So the leafs as evidence by tonight's soft effort vs Boston need toughness to win in the playoffs + grit.

However, they don't need useless enforcers like Colton Orr or Thorburn types.

Someone like a Wayne Simmonds would be useful. Any other options out there?

Toughness was not the Leafs issue tonight. Boston is just good at defending against our star players and at exploiting our defensemen.

Leaf's didn't need toughness

They needed Matthews, Marner, Tavares to step up and put some points on the board. This team wasn't build to be tough they were built to score goals.

I think this is an over reaction. Yeah Wayne Simmons would be useful but there aren't many of those guys. I like this roster a lot better than one where they add some random toughness that can't score.

This. The Bruins know Reilly is the threat and the rest struggle with the physical play and deep pressure getting their passes to the forwards clean.

Once they trade a scoring winger for a top four shutdown D they will be right there with Tampa.

You know that the Leafs just got in 3 fights tonight right? Our problem is that Tavares, Matthews, Marner and Nylander did not play well.

It just sums up how they have played in the last month. Terrible
