Lol no it isn’t. Nylander is the best player in the deal by far. Holl and Mayfield are a wash. And then it’s exchanging two crappy goalies.

So it boils down to Nylander for Wahlstrom and a 1st. Wahlstrom is looking like a bottom six guy at best, AHL calibre at worst - could go either way at this point.

Horrible for the Leafs, to be honest.

So basically 2 cap dumps in Mrazek and Holl, and Nylander. But for that you want a mayfield whos a top 4 stay at home dman on a good contract, wahlstrom a player who can play in a top 6 role and Varlamov who is a 1b goalie. Plus a 1st rounder. This pkg was made to dump the leafs junk on the Islanders.

So we give you Wahlstrom, a starting goalie, and #13 overall. We also downgrade from Mayfield to Holl, and take on a cap dump, and all we get is Nylander in return?

Yeah, quite the generous offer from you, Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but somehow I'm going to have to decline that from NYI perspective.

Mayfield and Holl are not a wash. And Varlamov is the better and more proven goalie than Mrazek.

So yes, Toronto is giving up the best piece in the deal (Nylander), but you're outright dismissing the gap between the other pieces.

He never called in the first place :P This isn't how he approaches things.

Nylander, Sandin, Mrazek, Kerfoot and Muzzin. Names you will hear a lot of this summer. Probably only Mrazek and one other actually goes. Summer gonna be summer.

Nylander is worth the entire package from NYI by himself, easily.
