Looks like Christmas has come early for you, my friend.

LOL. i noticed that twitter post just now. I mean the writing has been on the wall for some time and i think most fans were hopeful there were going to be wholesale changes at the top of the organization. There are good pieces on the actual roster... now hopefully they can get someone at the top with the vision and the ability to retool and turn it around.

100% - I view this offseason as more of re-tool than an actual rebuild. Which sounds crazy given how bad we were this year. Make no mistake, there is a lot of work to be done this off season. New DPs (get rid of Soteldo), new CBs, new STs, but there's a good core of young players to build around.

Jozy will forever be a legend here for scoring pivotal goals during our championship run, but this is for the best. He's far too injury prone to rely on nowadays, and ate up a quarter of our salary (6th highest paid player in the league).
Yeah he has averaged 12 games a year over the last 3 seasons.... Not a recipe for success to have that much money in someone who has played one season of games over the last 3 years

Real Salt Lake won the PK. Zero shots on goal the whole game. Somethings about soccer really bother me and I lose lots of interest in the sport.

Yeah, personally I loved seeing Seaatltle control the game and lose... Felt good to see the tables turn on them!

Yeah same, watched the game it was very entertaining, but always love to see the Sounders go down.

Frei running off his line was fortunate for RSL and their keeper clapping his hands to distract the shooter before every shot was amusing.

Yeah...so does the declining Michael just stay here on the team forever?

yeah i guess he'll be around for a while longer and that's not a bad thing. michael Bradley is still the leader of this team in every way. There are quite a few guys on the roster who the team needs to replace he isn't one of them plus he's not on a DP salary. It will be interesting to see what his role becomes in the future, but i could see him playing a reduced role... sort of in a James Milner manner.

As for Bob, i like the move. He has a wealth of experience both domestically and abroad and a good amount of success over the years.

I'm optimistic for the future.

Yep, and although he is still a solid player, the decline is real and as I mentioned before, we will likely never see him benched under his dad like Perez did to him this past season, so holding him accountable for lacklustre play will be tough.

On the other hand, maybe his dad will be harder on him to prove there is no favouritism.. guess we'll see.

oh wow. that's pretty surprising. Is there much of a demand for osorio in europe? What type of a league does he expect to go to?

He's 29 and while he's an above average MLS player, he doesn't set the league on fire or anything. I would think a bigger threat to turn heads in Europe is a guy like Richie Laryea.

I think Oso could fit into a 6-10 level European League and find some success. He is not going to go somewhere and turn heads, however, he is a very efficient player and could fit well in the right system. If worse comes to worst and he fails abroad, Oso will always have a place back in Toronto.

As for Laryea, he should go across to Europe at some point soon. I know there were rumors of shimming joining Larin and Atiba at Besiktas a while back. That would be a solid move for him!

One of the things that kept all the Canadians here before was the transfer process was unfavorable for Canadians. Unfortunately, as Canada gets better, the transfer process gets easier.

I never did understand why he doesn't play more here. He seemed to provide us with quality every chance he got.

Why lol? Bradley is without question the top coaching candidate available with an extensive MLS pedigree and a tremendous track record.

Not so much the hiring, but the fact that TFC was denying it when the rumours were out a week or two ago as 'premature and inaccurate':

Toronto FC denies Bradley report - TSN.ca

I guess that means Gio is coming back next season as well!
