No TFC midfield they were completely gassed after 30 minutes .. NYCFC midfield just ran through our midfield at will and scored 4 goals .. one of our defenders also missed his assignment on da Castellano goal too .. it was not even good balls from NYCFC it was flat out speed carrying ball up field at will .. tfc midfield better in a skilled game of small ball passing .. but they don't have legs to run at speed with anyone
I guess you missed duh last few games. Duh midfield has been duh rock for us up until duh game yesterday.. You keep up with duh silly narrative doh.

Actually I did miss them .. but saw weekend game against NYCFC and even game media/announcers on TV pointed it out rather embarrassingly too .. we flat out could not keep up to NYCFC midfield who by da way scored 4 of 5 goals against us .. we had 1 blown coverage issue on defense da rest of goals against were all on our midfield

You guys still liking the blend of youth and experience on this TFC team?

the Other day I caught a TfC instagram post of 3 new academy players that have been signed to short term contracts with the team. lol.

hilarious how I was blasted in this thread for suggesting the roster was too unbalanced and inexperienced.

Where were you when we had youth featured in the MLS team of the week and went a couple of weeks unbeaten?

It actually exemplifies what many have said here, this team is going to be inconsistent, they are going to ebb and flow as many teams do when they put a lot of trust in youth. Losing to Cinci on back-to-back games sucks, but we knew going in there would be unfortunate runs this season.

Insigne comes in a couple of months and TFC will likely be adding another veteran presence in the summer. The team will get better from those additions and from the natural growth of some of the youth. Until then show some patience, it's still early days in a new project.

What an absolutely pathetic call on that goal. That ball was free. In all honesty though, this game was on Pozuelo. Terrible penalty kick, terrible missed shot before the Nelson goal.

I'm puzzled as to what you were expecting?
Not a youth movement after I heard insigne was coming. look a couple of you in this thread have made it painfully clear you were in favour of a youth movement. Cool. That’s fine. thats your prerogative as fans.

when and why is a ”rebuild” where you go with a lot of young players a good idea in soccer? Its a global game. Its not like there is a small talent pool to choose from that you need to rely so heavily on an academy that has a pretty shitty track record.
There are leagues all over the world that could be tapped for talent. i feel like tfc were better at this in years past.

from the start of the season I was always critical of this patchy roster Bradley and manning have assembled. Its shitty and it relies too much of players out of the academy or lesser leagues than the mls.

It's tough to swallow another late loss, and I get the sentiment with the kids. They are inconsistent but show great flashes. As Bob says, got to stick with them;
