Can’t believe that Hutchinson goal. Never seen anything like it.

This Canadian team is something else. So skilled, so clutch, so focused. Who would’ve thought they’d be here 10 years ago?

9 points out of 9 without Davies and 2 notoriously hard away venues? I'll take it!

I gotta think estadio cuscatlan is one of the toughest places to play in the region. I remember hearing an interview with Craig forrest a while back and him retelling his experiences. Even with reduced capacity last night you could see it's an intimidating place to play - shout out to the riot police on the pitch trying to shield the players from the thrown objects.. It definitely looked pretty wild, but it didn't faze our boys yesterday.

I thought the refs handled the game well. Last couple games the officiating has been respectable and unconcacaf. Having VAR is definitely a good thing.

Having Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver join MLS and develop their academies is starting to pay dividends for the CMNT.

This is hopefully just the beginning.

CPL is only going to support this further. Gives young prospects a second chance and puts players in great situations for development. Look at Forge for instance. They are less than 2 weeks away from playing a game Club Leon and then 3 weeks from now they go for a second leg at the Azteca.

Great opportunity for these players to gain some more experience.

I think you will find that Immigration has everything to do with
what we are witnessing on the park now.

That's just one part of the equation. It's the development of the game at the grassroots level that has really taken off in this country over the last decade. Now we are able to harness young talent from coast to coast, regardless of ethnicity.

Also facilities. There are indoor soccer fields everywhere now.
Coaching used to be an advantage Europeans had. Now thanks to Youtube and other media outlets, that has shorten the gap

Really hoping this will propel Canadian soccer. Along with MLS, facilities development and sponsorship, we could be onto something

I think the success of the women's team and now hosting the mens world cup in 2026 has also led to a lot of pumping of cash into the sport here too
