A trade I was thinking b/w TOR and NJD

Nylander+Mrazek for Yegor Shergonovich + Damon Severson + Blackwood

1 very good high-end 1st liner for a younger LW/C mid-end 2nd liner, an offensive D who would allow us to move on from Muzzin and/or Sandin, and then a goalie who is young and has had a good start before some crap play recently which can be attributed partially due to the team he's one. Dump Mrazek to equal contracts.

7+3.8M =10.8M out

2M (Shergonovich is on this for 1 more year) + 4.167 (Severson for 1 more year) + Blackwood (3x2 let's say his next deal is) = 9.167M in for next year

Feel the deal may be a bit low for the Devils. Wanted to get a look at the value and what devil fans think

yeah if they could get him it would. The only thing is it's hard to come out ahead when bidding on UFAs (see JT for the leafs) and Nylander is 2 years younger (at least 2 draft classes, not sure which month FF is born in)

To be fair you guys could sign an RHD in UFA or move Smith or another LHD to the right side, or deal Holtz for a quality young RHD if needed.

Hamilton + Hughes + Smith is a very solid top 3 for defense with cap to add another quality guy

We’re going to have to sign or trade for at least 1 rhd depending on a Severson extension as it is. If he doesn’t want to re-sign then we’ll need 2.

No offense to Nylander but if we re-sign Bratt I don’t think we’d need him. The 2nd OA is probably going to be Slafkovsky which give us a top 6 of

Bratt-Hischier-Holtz

Feel the deal may be a bit low for the Devils. Wanted to get a look at the value and what devil fans think

the devils lack rhd organizationally. the devils lack stability in the net. the devils lack shooters. preferably with size and inside.

the proposal manages to worsen the situation at all three positions. seems like the proposal was created with only one team in mind.

to be fair toronto can trade matthews to create cap space and solve their woes on defense and between the pipes.

This is awful. You don’t get a middle 6 wing, a top 4, and a wildcard of a goalie who could still be great for a deal including a cap dump.
