Why do you continue to cite $8M+/year contracts to compare to your suggestion that Knies sign for $4M/year?
These situations are not remotely similar...
The most recent "Comparable" you can think of was signed almost 6 years ago?There are plenty of examples of lower AAV deals, those are just the ones that came to mind. Many of them are dmen, but the point remains. I guess the most recent comparable I can think off the top of my head is Konecny at 5.5

Nevermind that Konecny signed for $1.5M more than you suggested for Knies, for 2 years less than you suggested for Knies, under a salary cap $11M lower than what it was projected to be at the time you made that suggestion.
Konecny's contract is not remotely close to the 8 x $4M you were suggesting for Knies lmao.
