Especially when he can look back and maybe blame an ACL and getting drafted by the Sabres- Willy took a while to pop off. Alex has gotten his chances, now, but definitely not in the same linear way as Willy.

Much better fit in the AHL, but NLA might have a big pay cheque for him.

He loves Toronto so I wouldn't be surprised if he plays in the AHL for much less.

I thought he finally found his place in Columbus and I was baffled when they didn't resign him. The burnout in Toronto is not unexpected as that's what happened in Chicago and Pittsburgh. I wish him the best.

Not a shocker. I expect he'll clear and report to the AHL.

He made no impact in his NHL games. But I still like having NHL experience in the AHL, so I hope he does clear.
