Fox's fantasy stonks just went through the roof
Ive argued that I like to see Fox stay up on the top PP unit. If his other PP-linemates didn’t have their heads up their asses he’d have like over 10 points already.
Fox's fantasy stonks just went through the roof
So who punched DeAngelo? Because the twitter junkies and HF have already claimed half the roster sonked him. My point is there’s ZERO evidence of anything happening last night except some kid on a YouTube comment and the entire thread is going on a tangent on what happened when they have no idea and you’re telling me come on man, lol.LOL come on man. Richard Jewell? You're equating people making assumptions about DeAngelo, a guy who has had issues of varying degrees at every stop, to Richard Jewell? Come on.
Is Tony facing life imprisonment for murder and terrorism charges?
Torts wouldn't play him probably. Not with his shitty defense. You can say shit about Quinn, but his tratament of DeAngelo and Buchnevich worked. At least regarding on ice performance.I blame Tony, i blame the front office for his status, I blame DQ for being too wishy washy. Torts woulda beat the crap out of Tony himself if he ever pulled a stunt like that.
So much this. Imagine if we didn't win the lottery twice. This rebuild would be pretty disastrous. This front office is lucky this market doesn’t focus more on hockey.
Great post and very much with you in how all of this is combining to make me feel.So... redirecting focus from this specific incident, this year is turning into a circus for us quickly. Two wins, blowing leads, can’t play a full 60 minute effort, Zib MIA, Chytil looks to turn a corner only to go down for 6 weeks, Kakko and Laf both mostly invisible. Shesterkin not the clear starter. Line juggling galore. Decent prospect in Gauthier benched indefinitely in favor of career fringe AHLers. Now Tony on waivers and a lockerroom fight?
Some of those things are growing pains and can’t be controlled, but some can be controlled, managed or mitigated. Someone up top has to get an overall better handle on things before we spiral down an Edmonton shaped hole labeled “rebuild”. And I don’t mean to overreact. I’m not saying the sky is falling. I’m just saying this is a bad series of events and circumstances that can create a bad environment quickly, especially when you’re trying to develop a lot of young men in the room.
The organization waived him. That's your judge, jury, and executioner right there. They know what happened and decided that things were bad enough that they were ready to cut bait. And you want to compare it to the immediate response to an an act of terrorism? Seems a little...off. This isn't a trial by HF or Twitter, no one is facing criminal charges, we're reacting to a player being waived. So who punched DeAngelo? Because the twitter junkies and HF have already claimed half the roster sonked him. I think losing Lundqvist left a way bigger hole than people want to admit. This team has no leadershipJust an extremely disappointing situation. I love watching the guy play hockey.
Ultimately the fault and responsibility for whatever actions happened lies at DeAngelo’s feet. The failure to respond and change and dial back his statements and actions is on him.
But at this point I am beyond “having concerns” with the entire organization at this point. This is a disaster and shows complete failure up and down the leadership hierarchy.
They NYR have more insight into their players than anyone else. Asymmetric information. To be surprised and caught with your pants down to this degree is unacceptable. There were a variety of options they could have taken:
-Trade him for the best offer over the summer citing Trouba/Fox investment.
-Get him the help he needs mentally to be more proactive in preventing this after the decision was made to sign him.
-Addressed the leadership of the group be it Coach, players, whatever that allows this to go unchecked and build up this long.
I can’t know what specifically they did or didn’t do but what I do know, the outcome, is a complete and total disaster. Losing a valuable asset for nothing. Locker room problems with the league’s youngest roster. Complete indictment of team leadership.
The actions of DeAngelo are on DeAngelo alone but the entire organization needs to take a long f***ing hard look in the mirror.
Like I just said, I criticize people for talking in absolutes and thinking that they know everything going on in an organization and criticizing everything even when they only have limited information and don't have the full picture. There's a difference between thinking you know everything and always thinking you're right, and having opinions regarding the limited information that we're all privy to.
One thing I know for sure. Whatever DeAngelo said to Georgiev he would never have the balls to say to Lundqvist.I think losing Lundqvist left a way bigger hole than people want to admit. This team has no leadership

Somebody posted the image in this thread of someone immediately after gametime mentioning their father was a camera man and saw Georgiev and DeAngelo fighting in the tunnel. You can go back and find it yourself.
The correlation between yesterday’s post and today’s waiving seems too sensible to be a coincidence
Chytil looked great last year alway from Kakko and Howden. 2 of the worst players in the NHL laast year. I wouldn't put him at the disappointing prospects side.I will say, without me being vehemently of any opinion, that when it comes to Quinn as a “development” coach:
Kakko still looks bad. Better, some games, than most of last year, but still disappointing for a 2OA sophomore.
Lafreniere looks like Kakko did last year, albeit with better offensive instincts to get in the right places and be a bit more noticeable.
Chytil is in year three (plus 9 games 4 years ago) and while he had 2 really strong games before getting hurt, that sample size isn’t big enough to say he’s turned the corner officially. So far he’s been a lot like Kakko and Laf.
Hajek basically busted. Probably on him alone but he was once highly anticipated and a center piece of the TB trade.
Howden was supposed to be a middle six C but looks firmly like he’ll be nothing more than a bottom sixer, albeit a decent one.
Gauthier has potential, looked like he played well to start and has been benched in favor of 3 career AHLers.
Lias was a brat perhaps but that was totally poorly handled and it blew up in our faces.
Kravstov almost pulled a similar act after coming to camp here.
Fox showed up as a nearly finished product out of NCAA, stepped right in and didn’t really have much development under Quinn.
Ditto Miller right now.
Lindgren also did his developing in NCAA/Hartford and showed up pretty much as is with Quinn.
Shesterkin, the same but KHL. And now he’s getting yanked around, not starting consecutive games, not able to get a rhythm or confidence.
Buch and Tony were considered Quinn’s concrete examples of successful player development. Tony is about to get scratched off that list emphatically.
Is he a development coach? He’s certainly not a strategy, systems, Xs and Os coach. He’s not a motivator. He doesn’t have a firm handle on his locker room right now, it would seem.
I know this is more about Tony and not Quinn, but I do have a hard time looking at things and being happy with the boss right now.
So a screenshot of a random, unknown person commenting on youtube?
Not proof, sorry.
My dad is a camera man for the Oilers and overheard McDavid requesting a trade to the Rangers.
Doesn't make it true.
Are you denying that something caused him to be put on waivers? Or just this particular explanation? So a screenshot of a random, unknown person commenting on youtube?

Best to just wait until Brooks gives us the full story.
Fast and Staal too. Those guys were A’s and we’re long time rangers with deep playoff experience .I think losing Lundqvist left a way bigger hole than people want to admit. This team has no leadership
