Well you take the cap flexibility at this point. Maybe a team like CLB picks him up, think Torts would be a great coach for Tony. LA's a good market, you've got DET with Staal. Shame since he's a talented player.

I think the team can play better without him. Saw it during game 2 of the season.

They’ve been shopping him for months. People on here don’t seem to understand that the other team has to agree to it.

We probably have, yeah. Offered him to CBJ at the very least.

After last night though, I imagine Gorton's add to move him for something would have gotten larger. May have made a difference to another team.

Clever, but maybe the Pens stole some goals so he was correct. Wondering out loud for a friend........

They did actually steal one. That tying goal by Guentzel wouldn't have happened if the refs hadn't missed that high sticking call on him.

I have a hard time seeing Ottawa passing on him. They have:

Chabot - Zaitsev
Brannstrom - Gudbranson
Wolanin - Brown

And 11M in cap space and getting killed most games. Free asset, rebuilding team with plenty of space.

This. Panarin wanted the NYR, easy signing. Fox wanted NYR, easy trade and signing. Gift wrapped two franchise wingers. They’ve done nothing else. Nothing.
Miller and Chytil are showing promises signs. No other franchise would make a different pick in 2019 and 2020.

I can't see any way they send him to Hartford. That's just asking for more trouble. And I doubt they'll want him practicing with the team on the taxi squad. Maybe they terminate his contract, or if they can't do that, just tell him to go home until they can work out a trade or until they can buy him out.

Brannstrom was a big investment for them even if he hasn't done anything yet, they might not want another power play defenseman.

Probably...we all know Kreider is certainly no finisher.

Tony likely had it coming with his uncontrollable mouth.....what a terrible waste of talent....I hope he can get some professional help in his life....he likely can afford it now . I have been a big supporter of his despite his poor D and Twitter stuff but he has been off kilter since the start of the season and it was noticeable most games . We will survive without him and likely our focus will improve .
We also have Nils and Schneider in the pipeline at RD.

.... realizing that the D AC, during Tony's career season, is now HC of one of the few teams which could absorb his Cap Hit outright ...
