It was a little odd the CDC came out and said it's ok to go out and vote even if you currently have COVID. Quarantine went right out the window there and it's alarming that my parents could have been next to someone with COVID in a line for an hour to vote.

They were probably banking on Biden running away with it early and "Covid-19" just disappearing.

Also, I truly hope you're not going to defend his comments on COVID as a different viewpoint. That not a differing opinion, that's someone denying science. Spreading "fake news" about a deadly pandemic isn't an opinion; it's stupid at best and dangerous at worst. He was rightfully attacked over that idiotic tweet.

I am not defending or promoting. However, that is in fact, his opinion.

Science is rather conveniently thrown out the window when needed. Or so I find. DeAngelo said his piece. He is entitled to it. He got blow back for it and that is completely ok as well.

Covid is a very divisive subject. But people are allowed to interpret the data as they will. And debate it as such.

also should be noted that all of his old tweets are still there...so he didn't delete and recreate his account...my guess is he got himself thrown in 'twitter jail' for 24 hours.

so much for the fake nyr twitter insiders claiming the team shut him down.

Can someone remind me why we care at all what athletes have to say about anything other than why they won or lost the game? These guys are of course entitled to their opinion, but why would anyone choose to invest themselves in the ramblings of a barely high school educated 25 year old when it comes to topics of actual consequence?

There are fewer people looking at DeAngelo that way on Twitter than there was before. Not because of anything that happened this week, but because Adam Herman called their moms.

Having an opinion is one thing but the battle against the truth and science from a disturbing large group of people is slowly killing our country. And Tony is unfortunately firmly part of this group.

I’ll never look at this guy the same way after reading his tweets and look forward to the day he’s no longer part of our organization.

He could turn into Nick Lidstrom tomorrow I still want this guy gone rather sooner than later.

Just because he wears the Ranger blue doesn't mean I have to cheer for this piece of shit. f*** him, I'd rather have Donald Brashear back and be on the PK for the whole game.

What an absolute enlightening view. Lots of room for opposing thoughts, I see. All about being inclusive, right?

And you so aptly name Brashear. Yes, what a paragon of virtue to compare DeAngelo to. Let's see. Brashear broke into a house and was arrested for possession of cocaine. He was also found guilty of assault. Never mind the cheap shots that he handed out on a consistent basis. Yeah, compared to DeAngelo, Brashear is a shining light.

Am also unclear on what it is exactly that DeAngelo did that has caused the pitchforks to come out

So yeah, Tony is dead to me as a Ranger.

His opinions are one thing but when he encourages people to lie and shares lies (mods - this is strictly expressing my opinion to his intellectual dishonesty and not a political statement) then goodbye and good riddance.

After listening to TDA's podcasts I am very impressed with his intelligence, sports knowledge, respect for all the players in the league (even Tom Wilson!) and honesty. I appreciate his signing a team friendly contract and his willingness to move to LHD. Glad he is a Ranger and I look forward to his accomplishments in the coming seasons. He is a very gifted hockey player and a particularly entertaining one.

I don't share his political views but I respect his right to them, and I'm glad he doesn't bring them up on his pod. I just ignore his twitter feed anyway.
