Loved him as a Hab. Hated those who set him upas 1st line C because they couldn't get a real one for that role. Plecky would have thrived as a 2nd line C.

It was the same thing with Koivu and the something with DD.

Didn't recognise him with a visible neck.

He was great for us and carried a load at 1C that he perhaps wasn't quite cut out for, but he didn't let us down.

Salute.

He was up and down offensively, but at his best, he was a good 1C.... But short of elite.

His best was probably under Jacques Martin. He played him alot, and used him in every situation.

By all accounts, he was a true professional always the first at the rink.

I also recall wisniewski in a podcast a few years ago remarking on how underappreciated plekanec was.

Hoping he has a fantastic post hockey life. You can tell he still bleeds bleu blanc et rouge too.

Next person to honor

I'd love to see him back, but at least he got something just after final nhl game.

Markov is overdue.

Underrated and overburdened.

He was a warrior, and I recall several players naming him as one of the more difficult opponents to play against. An absolute gangster too, never backed down. Love that turtleneck :)
