The quotes around "bully' are intentional, because this isn't a story of some relentless attack Bertuzzi inflicted on a kid. It's mostly an amusing story.

Found this story on a podcast I listen to, here:

(Skip ahead to 29:20, but the podcast is inoffensive and funny.)

According to the story, the comedian was friends with the son of a financial consultant who's client list included Todd Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi wound up inviting the friend group of his financial consultant's kid's friend group over to play hockey and drink pop. The comedian in question sounds like he was something of a non-sports-playing nerd, so Bertuzzi called him "Cream Soda" and other things.

Again, mostly Bertuzzi being a bit of a jerk, teasing a kid a few times. Don't alert the authorities.

Except Bertuzzi is an asshole and does not get the benefit of the doubt.
Sure sure, except if it were actually a serious thing, I suspect we would have heard about it before it went public on a relatively small Canadian podcast.

I clearly remember reading something to that effect about (of all people) Jaroslav Halak, so that Bertuzzi have been doing so isn't surprising at all.

Doesn't make it right. But it's not surprising. And those acts have nothing to do with Mitchell Miller's either.

Even in my now-veteran age class there were quite a few kids playing hockey that were involved in school violence and ended up having prominent careers in the NHL or elsewhere in pro hockey. Including a Lady Byng contender.

My brother is good friends with Bertuzzis cousin. Before "the incident" he got word that my nephew was a huge Bertuzzi and canucks fan. He sent him a signed written letter and signed memoribila. He made a terrible mistake last night that is made regularly yet the outcome virtually never is. My brother has met him numerous times and only talks positive about him.
I also met his sister throughout college numerous times as she was a friend of one of my besties. INcredibly nice person as well.

Sometimes I’m reading this forum and wondering why the hell I’m supposed to care about this lmao. Idk Bert or this cream soda guy.

The story sounds made up.

I think the OP is just pushing this podcast.

The story is that Bertuzzi, as an adult, made fun of a 15 year old for his drink choice and hockey playing ability. Did Bertuzzi even have a summer home in Waterloo?
