If Arizona won't pay him what he wants what makes you think a cap strapped internal budget team with high taxes like Ottawa would be able to?

You can afford to trade for him but cant afford to sign him.

depends on what ottawa can send back in the trade and what happens with macarthur

at the same time im kinda iffy on getting him just because its his second time demanding a trade in a relatively short career(so far)

Wishful thinking. Yes, I know who's supposed to be there.

Yes they can. He's asking for $2.5m per on a 2-year-deal. If MacArthur (insured) goes on LTIR, they can easily afford Rieder.

The question is does any NHL team even want him anymore. He's requested trades from two teams now.

Yeah, I think he's getting bashed a lot because he's young and this is his second trade request but the reason seems to be that he isn't gonna get paid what other teams likely wouldn't even worry about. I would take him back over Yakupov in a second. No question about it.

Silly. Radulov has up and quit on his NHL team twice, and he was one of the most coveted free agents this summer. If you have talent, you'll have suitors. Rieder has talent.

Radulov only had what 3-4 suitors and on top of that he didn't cost any team any assets (besides money)

Interested mainly because I'd love to have Dahlbeck

Until MacArthur comes back (if he does) :

Hoffman-Turris-Stone
Dzingel-Brassard-Ryan
Smith-Pageau-Rieder
Puempel-Kelly-Neil
Pyatt

First call-ups : Paul, Varone

Methot-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Ceci
Dahlbeck-Wideman
Claesson

First call-ups : Englund, Kostka

People dunno much about Dzingel, but him and Rieder add some nice speed to the forward group

Another very positive thing for me : I wouldn't have to hear about Borowiecki in Sens GDTs anymore. Many Sens fans have an unhealthy obsession with him. Seriously, I'd do that trade just for that
