First of all, there are no dumb questions, seriously.Sorry if this is dumb question.
Let's say Sweden beats USA in regulation, Canada does the same to Finland.
They are tied at 5 points. What's the tie breaker? Who beat who in round robin? Goal differential? Regulation wins?
Anyone know. I can't find it.
US is already in. Asking if Sweden and Canada tie at 5.First of all, there are no dumb questions, seriously.
Also tie breaker is decided upon the two tying teams head to head battle.
So in this case, US would top Canada

But seems like Canada would be in with their OT win

Is 42 really the answer to life?
To say there are no dumb questions just isn't true.

Sadly, the SWE/USA was scheduled as the late game. So, SWE will know its fate before puck drop. Currently, CAN through 2 is up 4-0 on FIN.Finland also has the tie-breaker against Sweden. As someone said above, the only chance for Sweden to get in is to win in regulation and hope the Can/Fin game goes to OT. The biggest thing Sweden has going for them is this will be a meaningless game for the US so who knows if they'll show up plus Canada and Finland are probably pretty evenly matched so OT is definitely possible.
Gonna be an interesting day tomorrow. Since the Can/Fin game is first, the US will be able to pick their opponent in the final by either beating Sweden or mailing it in so they can play them in the final. They've beaten Sweden badly already and lost to Finland so if Finland beats Canada in OT, maybe they choose to mail it in. Pretty wild.
