Not if Russia wins in OT. Exact same record at that point and NA has them on goal differential if OT happens.
but they lost to russia

Exactly. Two way tie means H2H decides -> Russia advances.
We can even win it in SO
As these guys said![]()
Yeah, you would normally think that, but heard somewhere that H2H isn't a factor in this tournament.
You heard wrong.
Three ways ties, that's another story.
Yes, I found that out for myself. NA needed to win in regulation to guarantee their advancement to the semis, by potentially forcing a three way tie.
Not gonna happen now.
Finland needs to beat Russia and if Russia wins in any way tomorrow, NA is unfortunately screwed.
why aint it?
Doesnt Rus win make all three with 2 wins? as 3 eay tie?
NA adavances in anyway.. Sweden needs to worry about Fin - Rus game![]()
Unfortunately no. Sweden secured 1st by forcing overtime and gained the extra point.
Yeah, checked the standings.. So last game is meaningless for us..
Unless Finland wants to eliminate Russia. You can send team NA to the semis if you beat Russia.
Of course i want our lions fighting for a win, but i wouldnt wonder if players might have problems putting 110% effort on it. Same thing as motivating NA players on bronze game. Also Russia knows they just need to win us.. with how many doesnt count.
1) Total of regulation and OT wins; 2) Regulation wins only; 3) Goal Differential; 4) Total goals scored
That means that Sweden, already before the game against NA, was in the semi-finals with two games won in regulation. Even if they would have lost that game in regulation, Russia couldn't pass Sweden since they've only can get one win in regulation.
