Value of: Three-way trade between Jets, Kings, and Sens

With Ehlers out long term, Jets need a forward. LA needs a defensive LHD, and Sens need a mobile RHD.

I think there must be some sort of three-way trade that can work out between these 3 teams no? Each can trade from a position of a strength for a position of need.

What are some ideas for a three-way trade?

King's aren't great for trading RD. Doughty, Clarke, Spence unlikely to be available. Durzi & Walker don't have much value. It's hard to see a trade moving Roy that improves the King's defense.

If someone really wants Durzi or Walker, that's fine.

Ottawa traded a 7th overall pick plus a second rounder (39th overall) and a third for Debrincat, but sure, let’s trade Debrincat for Durzi and a couple of third rounders.
yes, and they thought they would compete, now theyre a lottery team they have to course correct. or they could do cap suicide and give him stupid money.

Yeah so basically Dillion and a 3rd for DeBrincat, Talk about a moronic trade.
As funny as that is, I don't think the Jets want to give up Dillon, under any circumstances. He's been the Jets meanest d-man this year. Playing very well in a top 4 role. He's not going to get replaced by anyone internally. Jets are in the process of becoming a fundamentally good defensive team. They may need a forward, but Ehlers is expected to come back, and I'd expect him to produce at a higher rate than DeBrincat when he does. Never trade to fill a hole that isn't permanent, to make a permanent hole in your roster, one that wouldn't be replaced with the Cap space lost in such a trade.

Or they could trade him for something good, rather than trade him for the crap you‘re offering.

If Durzi is that undervalued the SENS should absolutely target him. If we lose Zub we take a massive step back and we need a contingency for that. Durzi is not a contingency on his own but he is a solid option for building RHD depth, a position we have been sorely lacking and have ZERO internal relief for.

If we re-sign Zub Durzi is an adequate top 4 filler to play alongside Chabot on the 2nd pair if we are unable to upgrade through a thin UFA pool (Zub pencils in with Sanderson next year). If we do upgrade through FA Durzi is an excellent 3rd pairing guy.

And this is saying nothing about the potential for Durzi to continue developing into a top 4 defenceman who is cost controlled. I'm surprised consensus is that he doesn't have that potential.

IMO there is no down side. We are dangerously close to needing a top pair rd AND a second pair rd next year, PD simply can not let that happen.

The OP is undervalued for the SENS but probably not as far off as people think. If the SENS don't figure it out that $9M QO for a 65 pt player isn't going to look overly attractive to a lot of teams.

Ottawa- Winnipeg 3rd, kings 3rd and durzi
Jets- Debrincat
Kings-Dillon

This is so obviously bad that I feel like we as a group should ignore it and move on before it destroys the discussion any more than it already has.

As a Jets fan, I would love to move a D for a F, however I don't think Dillon is the right guy to move and I think he is the only guy the Kings would be interested in. If the Sens were interested in Schmidt it would probably make more sense to deal with them directly, but I don't see any Schmidt-Sens deal that would make sense for both teams.

This. I don't see a 3 way here either. If I'm LA and giving up Durzi, I wouldn't do a 1 for 1 with Dillon as the return, and honestly I'd rather just target Debrincat myself by adding to Durzi.
