I was looking over the 93-94 Sharks schedule and saw they had three straight home games against Chicago in February (and won all three by a goal). I don't recall seeing something like this before, even in the O6 era. I remember that the east coast clubs would play two consecutive games against west coast/western Canada clubs in the early years of the WHA to cut down on travel costs. Any insight on this scheduling quirk?

I will note that Chicago played the game prior to their first of those San Jose games against the Ducks, and faced the Kings before their next two home games against the Sharks.

In total Chicago had nine road games in a row, January 31st through February 14th. Never really registered the length of road trips before, but that seems pretty long? They had another one lasting 8 games between November-December of 1993.

Also the Bulls had a long road trip simultaneously, so probably the Chicago Stadium wasn't available. The United Center was being constructed just across the street which I imagine might be why.

In 75-76, the Seals played 17 of their first 24 games on the road, then had an 11-game home stand for an entire month, from November 26 to December 26!
