And I'm sick again. This is the 3rd time in the last 24-ish months that I've come down with a fever and a cough after flying. This is kind of bullshit. I just got over a nasty flu in December.

I know it's a trigger word for some people but I bring a kn95 mask anytime I fly in case I end up anywhere near someone coughing or clearly sick and I haven't gotten sick yet.

Since you've gotten sick 3x right after flying I highly recommend it, is it annoying to wear one? Yeah but I'd rather be annoyed for a few hours than sick for several days/weeks.

Currently on the tail end of covid. Sorry to say - it still exists. Had to give my up tickets to the Dallas game as I was uncontrollably coughing . But was good one day later.

Wifey had it a bit worse than me, but she's mostly better now. It's good that its generally more manageable now... but its still different for everyone and can still hit ya hard.

It’s kind of sort of like the flu in that aspect. Some years the flu is not harsh other years it hits hard. Thr longer you go without getting it the harder it likely hits

True. I heard this year the Flu/RSV/Neuro are generally worse than covid. But pick your poison so to speak.

Also why I'm glad we're driving to Vegas instead of flying. The last time we flew was a shitshow between multiple maintenance delays, missing our flight, having to stay overnight after having a connecting flight canceled at the last minute, and then 3 of the 4 of us getting sick. Plus we're gonna stop by the Grand Canyon on the way back, and I've never been there before. It'll be nice to see something other than the vast nothingness that is central North Dakota.

It's been talked about in the entertainment thread, and I don't wanna speculate too much. Still don't know what happened, but they're saying it appears to not be carbon monoxide poisoning or anything like that.

That's gotta suck making it all the way to 95 years old only to die from (probably) non-natural causes.
