I thought it was nice that Briere came out and said he knew Torts rep and was worried about keeping him after Fletch. He met with him and obviously all is good, but I liked that.
Players this team wanted to lock up/hold on to:Friedman would be ‘more surprised than not’ if the Flyers don’t get Seeler done and then Konecny is next.
They thought they would have 3 last year too. It'll definitely be an interesting month, not sure if it got talked about much, but Jones sort of hinted at potentially having 3 first round picks in this year's draft. It was sort of we have 2, maybe 3 firsts in the upcoming draft type comment. So it seems that they've been working the phones to gauge value.
What's the deal with Cozens? Is he in trade rumors?Really depends which teams are interested in our guys but I’d target these forwards.
Zegras
Johnson
Heidt
Nadeau
Ostlund
Lambert
Tomasino
Lysell
Cozens
Haven't seen any. I just wonder if Buffalo might panic since they're bottom 10 again. What's the deal with Cozens? Is he in trade rumors?

Wonder if something around TK for Cozens would workBuffalo is bursting at the tits with up and coming centers ... and everything else, basically. There's no way they have room for all the talent they have drafted. I wish to f*** they'd ask for Owen Tippett in exchange for something.
I wish Ottawa would panic trade Stutzle. I would shave off the upper layer of skin off my balls for Stutzle.
Who on this team should Cates play with? Cates doesn't play with tempo, very limited offensive abilities, honestly I think he's more of the odd man out rather than frostIf Torts really didn't like Frost, Cates would be the 2C right now.
Instead, Cates is buried on the 3rd line at LW with linemates like Laughton and Hathaway, which aren't good matches for his skill set.
Frost is a good fit for their new style of play, it's just that he has to become more consistent driving play, the whole point of an up tempo system is to play up tempo.
Neither is the odd man out.Who on this team should Cates play with? Cates doesn't play with tempo, very limited offensive abilities, honestly I think he's more of the odd man out rather than frost
Having TK for 2 playoff runs would get more than those fee agents to be. Then with max retention it becomes a no briner to move. They wouldn't get a superb haul for TK. Very few players get a huge haul.
Horvat - top 12 protected, Beauvillier
Tkachuck - Huberdeau, Weegar, 2025 1st top ten protected
DeBrincat - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Eichel & 3rd - Tuck, Kreps, 1st, 2rd
ROR - Thompson, 1st, 2nd (Thompson was late 1st rd pick consideerd a B+ prospect)
Unless they want out of that deal think TK isn't enough. This year is in the book for the Sabres. So is it worth 1 year of TK for Cozens on their end?Wonder if something around TK for Cozens would work
The Flyers do not understand this concept.ASF joining Glen and Mike on WIP, mainly to talk about Carter Hart, mentioned the trade deadline as well and along with Walker and Laughton, threw in Morgan Frost as someone who if he’s playing well, may sell high on as he doesn’t think they see him as a long term fit, and that Danny is listening in everyone ‘for the right offer,’ even though Konecny is in the plan going forward.

No one ever talks about trading Cates. He makes over 2 million an seems destined for the 4th as of now. Not interested in playin guys on the 4th line over 2 million. He may have some over inflated value based on last years performance.Who on this team should Cates play with? On the recent STG episode ASF said if the Flyers get an offer similar to the one at the draft that they were offered for Laughton (1st rounder+) this deadline he thinks they’ll pull the trigger this time around. However he doesn’t think that offer comes around this time. So he ultimately thinks Laughton stays.
For the culture, right? On the recent STG episode ASF said if the Flyers get an offer similar to the one at the draft that they were offered for Laughton (1st rounder+) this deadline he thinks they’ll pull the trigger this time around. That really was one of Danny's dumbest moves, there was literally zero reasoning for not pulling the trigger when you claim that you are rebuilding, but so far it doesn't look to be a rebuildOn the recent STG episode ASF said if the Flyers get an offer similar to the one at the draft that they were offered for Laughton (1st rounder+) this deadline he thinks they’ll pull the trigger this time around. I think the flyers definition of a rebuild differs from conventional thinking. Their rebuild doesn’t start with players and draft capital, but with rebuilding the ‘culture’ of the locker room. They believe the value of ‘culture’ to be tangible and carries more weight than that of a draft pick to which I heavily disagree with because the very nature of people are different and even a draft pick can change said ‘culture’. In all honesty, I don’t know what they mean when they say culture. If it’s guys who get along then that’s pretty cute, but stop f***ing up the team long-term.On the recent STG episode ASF said if the Flyers get an offer similar to the one at the draft that they were offered for Laughton (1st rounder+) this deadline he thinks they’ll pull the trigger this time around.
